Louise Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 Kenton keen to battleby Alex Dunn - created on 3 Mar 2005 Leicester new boy Darren Kenton says he is prepared for the fight to sustain the club's Championship status. The pacey defender has joined The Foxes on a month's loan from Southampton - effectively swapping one relegation fight for another. Kenton, who can operate in various positions across the pitch, insists he is looking forward to life at the Midlands outfit. ''It gives me the chance to get a consistent run of games going and that is something I was not getting at Southampton,'' Kenton told the Stellar Group's website. ''Harry Redknapp thought it would be beneficial for me, Craig Levein obviously wants me to come and I am only too happy to help the club in the next month. ''It is a vital period of the season and hopefully my experience can be some help to the team.'' http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.a...el=Championship

Hes got us mixed up with F****t!
Scow Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 He didn't actually say he's involved in a relegation battle, it was the reporter's own words...
SilverFox Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 Its a kick in our teeth, and our pride...but we are dangerously close to the bottom three so I suppose its a fair comment. Now all we need is someone to bang the goals in!
Katy Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 He didn't actually say he's involved in a relegation battle, it was the reporter's own words... 74048[/snapback] Must have got his words from somewhere/one Scow!

Louise Posted 3 March 2005 Author Posted 3 March 2005 I was posting more about Mr Alex Dunn than Kenton, typical tabloid sensationalism. (Yes we're near the bottom and could go down, but there are still six teams below us who are more likely to go down)

It was probably wishful thinking Louise eh?

Matt Posted 4 March 2005 Posted 4 March 2005 Stop lying for the club, ok if someone slags of our beloved club by all means have a go at them stick up for your club but this reporter is only telling the truth we are dangerously close to the relegation zone, and yes I do fear we are in a relegation battle, maybe if we win tommorrow it'll be a diferent story and I hope it is but I'm not holding to much hope...I'm sick and tired of making excuses for the team, the club, and individual players, some players deserve all the slagging off they get, we are very close to a relegation battle, suppose I might be accused of "moaning" again () but...truth hurts...
TornadoShaunUK Posted 4 March 2005 Posted 4 March 2005 I've been aware for quite some time now that we were in more of a relegation battle than a push for a play off place. Obviously nobody at the club would like to talk about it as it may have a negative effect on the squad, but the reality is, a loss against Forest on saturday will not be acceptable =/ At the end of the day, aslong as nobody in the bottom three catches ground on us I don't care what else happens this season. We just need to make sure we stay in this league and mount a fresh challenge for promotion next year.
