lookwhaticando Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 Hardly surprising that one failure of a manager would provide backing to another failure of a manager. McClaren must stay, says Taylor (twat). The best bit for me is the quote from 606 they've posted into the middle of article: What does Peter Taylor know? We beat his Stevenage team 4-0 at the weekendSE L O fucking L
Wycombe Fox Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 Unbelievable! Does anybody actually care that one idiot failure thinks that another idiot failure should keep his job! The only thing these two haven't failed at is actually being idiots!
stez Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 peter taylor was on radio 5 this morning, and the 4-0 was, apparently, an opportunity. he was going on like he's the worlds best at everything. didn't admit he got the sack from palace for being shite, but was disappointed that he was sacked. even said he took the stevenage job because he didn't want to be stuck on the shelf for months....
Wycombe Fox Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 I'd actually heard a rumour that the FA are going to carry out an investigation into McClaren as it has been brought to their attention that he has acquired some parts from another team, formerly known as Team Eriksson. So many parts in fact that he could almost be the same person. Team Eriksson owns the technical copyright to the parts in question and it hasn't gone unnoticed that the performance of Team McClaren has been very similar to that of Team Eriksson. The only major difference being McClaren's apparent inability to qualify for the race whereas Team Eriksson managed success in qualifying but never actually managed to reach the chequered flag with the wheels coming off the wagon on several occassions. A fine and points deduction beckon.
purpleronnie Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 Has any manager actually said he thinks Mcclaren should be sacked? Doubt it.
Alexikokopops Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 Has any manager actually said he thinks Mcclaren should be sacked? Doubt it. Yes, but there's a considerable difference between not saying "he should be sacked" and actively coming out and backing him.
FilboFox Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 Shit managers have got to stick up for one another as otherwise they'll disappear!
Ultra Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 Has any manager actually said he thinks Mcclaren should be sacked? Doubt it. Even Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson have come out in support of McClaren. But I'm sure the fact that Wenger is French and Ferguson is Scottish has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on their views towards him...
Webbo Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 I'm going to be a bit unpopular on here, but I don't think McLaren should be sacked. He started off terribley admittedly but recently he's started to get things right. As well as that who else is there to take the job?
Ultra Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 So you're happy for England to be outside Europe's top 16 then? With the group we had, and the talented players at our disposal, there's no excuse whatsoever for us not to qualify. The fault must lie with McClaren and he should carry the can. There are plenty of suitable replacements available - it's just a question of whether the old farts at the FA can find them.
purpleronnie Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 I just wish they would blame the players more. Pretty sure their the ones on the pitch.
Ultra Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 A lot of the players are lazy fcukwits who know McClaren ain't got the bottle to drop them. I doubt whether Mourinho or MON would take such crap from them..
act smiley Posted 15 November 2007 Posted 15 November 2007 But I'm sure the fact that Wenger is French and Ferguson is Scottish has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on their views towards him... Of course it doesn't... but the less tournaments England get to, the longer summer breaks their players can have...
purpleronnie Posted 15 November 2007 Posted 15 November 2007 Yes, but there's a considerable difference between not saying "he should be sacked" and actively coming out and backing him. What he phoned up saying he should stay in the job? Doubt it. I'm sure he was asked and what was he going to say? No manager has said he should be sacked.
