Bezzanator89 Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Stats from Wikipedia about Wes Hoolahan: Full name: Wesley Hoolahan Date of birth: 20th May 1982 (age 25) Place of birth: Dublin, Republic of Ireland Height: 5 ft 6 in (1.68 m) Playing position: Left Midfielder Club History: 2001 – 2005 - Shelbourne = (No record of goals/appearances) 2006 – 2007 - Livingston = (16 Appearances, 0 Goals) 2006 – 2007 - Blackpool (on Loan) = (42 Appearances, 8 Goals) 2007 – Now - Blackpool = (25 Appearances, 5 Goals) Also played for Republic of Ireland Under 21s and B-Team (4 Appearances, 0 Goals) Not a bad player in my opinion, played well against us in the first game of the season. Would make a fine acquisition.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Top quality Championship player but I seriously doubt we have a chance with him.
Austin Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Cracking little player .. watched goals on sunday few weeks back and they were raving about him .. showing a few goals .. if we were to get anyone from B'pool id prefer Keegan Parker.

dandannieldanok Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 He doesn't even get in their team does he? No you're right he doesn't, Blackpool tried to offload him to Barnsley but his wage demands were too much I think. Not a player I'd like here.
NorthernFox Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 No you're right he doesn't, Blackpool tried to offload him to Barnsley but his wage demands were too much I think. Not a player I'd like here. Apparently Parker is in major bother with Blackpool after some alleged naughtiness and will offload him anywhere. Hoolahan would be a good asset for us imo.
Joe. Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Would love a bit of Hoolahan here, he's be another great addition to the midfield. However I'd say our chances of actually getting him here are slim.
SamL Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Would be a quality signing, has performed well for Blackpool so i'm told. I very much doubt we'vegot a chance of signing him though which is a shame.
Bryn Posted 14 January 2008 Author Posted 14 January 2008 I think Hoolahan to Ipswich is a done deal.
Bezzanator89 Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Shame, watched some of his clips on the Blackpool website and he is quite the player.
