AyewJoking Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 The best thing about Sunday League football is going to the pub after the match.
Jordan Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 I don't follow Irish politics enough to be able to comment on Bertie's wisdom, but I have recently become a teetotaler. From 18-24 years old, I drank as much as anybody my age would. This year, in an attempt to improve my well-being, I decided to make some changes to my lifestyle. Mostly, it involves eating healthier food (a real challenge in this country) and exercising more, but I felt also that giving up on getting drunk would have a big impact. For a few months, I was only having one or two "social" drinks when I went out, but I've since cut it out completely and I haven't had a sip of alcohol since the first week of May. If I didn't think being a teetotaler was a positive, happy choice for me, well, I wouldn't be one. That's just my personal choice and not a pulpit from which I preach to others. Almost everybody I know are drinkers.
lcfc_jme Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 I barely drink at all. I really don't see the point in it at this moment in time.
AoWW Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 I barely drink at all. I really don't see the point in it at this moment in time. No, me neither. Which is utter bollocks... much like your statement, me thinks!
Bert Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 I only drink on days with a 'y' in 'em. Go me! Everyday?
AoWW Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Everyday? pfft, no fooling you, is there! And, no, actually... not EVERY day.
lookwhaticando Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Yeah, that's a bit unfair to say AoWW drinks every day... there's a very important qualifier to that statement. She drinks every day... every day except the days when pigs fly... she doesn't drink on those days.
Rincewind Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 I left for work too early today (Sunday) so went for a drink. The music was crap in one place (jazzy stuff) so I drank up quick and went in The Clarendon. I had a pint but thought that was enough with a 12 hour shift ahead of me so I went on the soft drinks after and was surprised at the price. £1.10 for an orange and lemonade and a packet of cheese and onion crisps. It must have been a mistake.
