teblin Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 Link Leicester City are keen on bringing Drogheda United defender Graham Gartland to the Walkers Stadium, according to certain reports. The 24-year-old enjoyed an excellent season for The Boynesiders, where he collected a league winner's medal and also got called up for his country. He featured for the Republic of Ireland B team in the 1-1 friendly draw with Scotland, and has been tipped to win more international caps after playing well in that game. It is believed that scouts from Leicester City were present at that match in Airdrie and were impressed by Gartland's performance. Despite having two years left on his contract, Drogheda may be forced to sell the player if The Foxes come in with a generous bid for the player.
GianEmmo Zola Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 Well it looks like he would replace N'Gotty ? So that would leave us with Mcauley, Stearman, Kisnorbo and Gartland for the centre half spot with rowe turner and garner coming through

Cat Burger Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 He might be a vocal defender in the Judy Garland mould, I reckon he would look good alongside that wizard of oz Patrick Kisnorbo.
Staf Posted 29 November 2007 Posted 29 November 2007 Sounds good although i havent heard of the last few players we have been linked with
