step Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 Just rang up and asked for a specific seat near me so my old man can join me on boxing day and they have said that they cannot sell specific seats anymore, you have to say a block number (ie G2) and you get whatever seat it throws up.Anyone else experienced this? . Ring again, I would ask to speak to someone who knows what they are talking about, ask to speak to the office manager, and if he dont give you the answer you want, ask to speak to his boss. There is no reason or logic behind that decision. Dont let some jumped up little jobs worth damage the sales to our club and when you finally win your point make sure the gits that stopped a sale get their arse kicked. Maybe the ticked office manager needs a new job

In fairness, the Club rang back and sorted with no problems and a lot of courtesy.
DB11 Posted 25 December 2007 Posted 25 December 2007 I was allowed to ask for a specific seat for boxing day. Perhaps it is just in specific block that this happens?
volpeazzurro Posted 25 December 2007 Posted 25 December 2007 I experienced a problem a few weeks ago when as a holder of 3 season tickets I tried to buy 4 more tickets for my little boys birthday treat for his freinds. I was told that I needed all their names, addresses and dates of birth. By the time I rang round and got them (a Saturday), the office had closed. This meant another trip down there another day. This time a helpful employee apologised for the inconvenience and told me there was no such rule as it wouldn't be practical etc. He also then gave me the tickets for free for which I was very grateful. The moral is try another counter. I've just bought another ticket for the Ipswich game next to mine for the brother in law with no problems. Cheers and have a good day.

DB11 Posted 25 December 2007 Posted 25 December 2007 Is the ticket office open tomorrow? Can't think why not - there is a game going to be on after all and it normally is on a matchday?
