Hullfox Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 Just rang up and asked for a specific seat near me so my old man can join me on boxing day and they have said that they cannot sell specific seats anymore, you have to say a block number (ie G2) and you get whatever seat it throws up. Anyone else experienced this?

I've not experienced this myself as my mates and I all have season tickets. Sounds a really stupid thing to do though in honesty. One that isn't going to encourage people to come, which is what they want surely? What the hell is the problem with giving someone a certain seat? Shambles.
Rocky Dennis Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 The Leicester City ticket office in my experience has always been a shambles! Anyone remember the Blackburn play-off final Fiasco?
Newcastle_Fox Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 I rang up about 2 weeks ago to get the seat next to me for the Ipswich game and managed to get that no problem, so they must have brought that ruling in since then or they are most likely being difficult. Could be that they cant print out the tickets and only have a pre-printed number of tickets per block this close to the game.

Very bizarre. I went in on friday and bought 3 tickets for the Ipswich game and they did the whole 'turn the monitor round to ask me where i wanted to sit' thing....
Micky Ruddle Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 It depends who you're speaking to. Cos they're some right twarts in their. I rang up for my friend once, and they said you can't reserve. I rang up again, spoke to someone else, and they reserved me seats. So...er in similar ways, it has been experienced HF

Yep, same happened to me took about 10 minutes taking my details and everything. Then i couldn't get my tickets in the end...waste of time!
James. Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 I had a very similar problem. Got 4 tickets but need an extra 1. Just rang now and they said they could give me a specific seat on the row in front or on matchday I can come down take my 4 tickets to the ticket office, buy an extra 1 and have them all moved to then same place, 5 together. Hullfox - Ithink you were just the victim of a useless employee as opposed to any specific policy.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 I don't think they have any particular policies, it's just whether the person you get can be arsed to do what you want. I've rang up three days in a row before and been told three different things by three different people. It shouldn't be difficult to set out a policy on the sort of questions you're going to be asked.
Bert Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 Best option is to ask for Jim. He'll do pretty much anything for you regarding tickets.

Simi Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 I don't like that woman who wears the glasses, she seems so far up her own backside it's unreal and talks to me like shit when I go in.
Messi Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 Just Ring Up Tell Them The Block...Row And Seat Number because Someone Had To Tell Them All Of Them Details On Friday When I Went Down Who Was Looking For Seats Close To His Season Ticket Or Just Sit Together
AoWW Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 There's some new girl in there - sounds very young on the phone. Spoke to her when my Ipswich away tickets hadn't arrived, she was hopeless. Put me on hold 5 times to ask other people what she should do... and still came back with a 'solution' that was clearly never gonna work. Airhead!

Hullfox Posted 24 December 2007 Author Posted 24 December 2007 Sorted now. Apparently some calls get through to Ticketmaster (???), they can't allocate seats. In fairness, the Club rang back and sorted with no problems and a lot of courtesy.

The Stig Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 David O'Leary has a Piggy Nose, that among other reasons is why i don't like him! I did mean the Foxestalk member, I agree with you about the real D.O.L
Daggers Posted 24 December 2007 Posted 24 December 2007 I'm always surprised to hear about people having problems with the ticket office as I've always found that making polite requests has been met with accommodation, helpfulness and efficiency. Now I have never used them during times of high demand and that maybe holds the key.
