WetFlannel Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 We Got Stearman is every response you make going to include Stearman!
Leicester Lass Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 From today's Mercury: In searching for the follow-up win, City will have to make at least one enforced change as makeshift right-winger James Chambers is suspended, but, on the other hand, combative midfielder James Wesolowski is expected to be fit enough for contention.A booking for City skipper Stephen Clemence yesterday means he will miss the third round of the FA Cup at Southampton on January 5.
Nath Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 From today's Mercury: Clemence being suspended then i feel is an advantage. QPR is a mssive game, and the Southampton game is only the cup. Plus we will have 4 new midfielders by then
Joe. Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Looking forward to it, feels like I haven't been for ages (my last game was West Brom, that's a long time for me ) It's going to be a tough game and we'll have to be at our best to beat them I think. Charlton took the piss of us at The Valley earlier this season and if there's anything like a repeat performance we'll get rolled over easily. I'm confident. 1-0 us.
Simi Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I really do hope we are not stupid enough to rush Weso back. We've seen that this does no good for him at all. If we continue to rush him back we will only shorten his career, which would be a crime.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 That's a lot of juggling for the next three games. I'd like to think Kenton has shown enough recently for us not to risk Wesolowski until the Southampton game.
Joe. Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I wouldn't mind seeing Kenton in the holiding role at all. When playing there this season he's been very impressive I think considering he's supposed to be a right back/centre back. Like Ched said, it'd be stupid to rush Weso back if he's not ready, it's not like we're desperate for him either.
lildave3 Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Yeah. I was just about to comment on that. It would be a ridiculous decsion to do that and one that would not benefit anyone. I reckon we could see... Hume----N Gotty-----King-----Hayes As long as we don't shippedy woppedy.
WetFlannel Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I cant see anything for right wing at the moment, and i would take an in form Hume up front... Wheres Gradel
Simi Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 As long as we don't shippedy woppedy. I thought it was shoppedy woppedy. Either way it was sheer comedy. Been as Clemence can play I'd expect to see... Hume----N Gotty----Clemence----Hayes

Tevez Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 As much as i'd love to see Hayes play, I think Ollie will just use him for the last 15 or 20 every week just to come on and give the team abit of freshness.
Raj Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 We will win this on saturday. My mate promised me we will. FACT!
Jack Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 We will win this on saturday. My mate promised me we will. FACT! Would be nice, can't see it myself though.
Super Arj Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 i hope John doesnt fook anything up this time like he did at wolves charlton are a good side so we need to take our chances - with johns form looks like a few more open goals will be missed ( haha did anyone see john miss that 1 on 1 vs ipswich, where he toe- banged it extremely wide )

EE155 Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Do City ever put in two consecutive good performances? As long as we pick up something I wont be too bothered. Charlton will be up there at the end of the season so a point would be ok. Think if we take the game to them and attack them like we did Ipswich we have a good chance. Set pieces massive again. Hope Clem can keep the delivery as good as the two he put in for Stearz and Kisnorbo!
Thracian Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 From today's Mercury: Chambers close-down speed and movement off the ball will be much missed and, like Ched and Fez I think we've got to be careful with Weso. I'm always doubtful whenever Leicester declare people fit after a period out. Just because they've come through a few gentle training workouts without mishap doesn't convince me because that is nothing like proper football. A gradual reintroduction would seem most sensible to me and I don't just mean this week either. In fact it seems City will have to be cautious with Weso for some time if they want to get the best from him.
Fox in a Box Posted 28 December 2007 Author Posted 28 December 2007 From today's Mercury: today is the 28th! Lestoh City's improvement on the field could help manager Ian Holloway when next week's transfer window opens. The City manager believes the last two performances will boost his powers of persuasion by showing prospective arrivals that they would be making the right move. He said: “They will have seen that he has taken over a squad which was far too big. He has sifted through it, told a few he doesn't want them, and he has picked some who have tried their backsides off for him, because that is what they did. “Hopefully now other people will see the size of this place and the ground we have, and they might want a piece of it. “And, as long as I get my judgement of character right and get people who are ready to die for this cause, take it forward and see it as a huge challenge, then - fantastic!” Holloway, buoyed by recent events, is still just as eager to boost the quality of his squad and, when not on the training ground, he has been relentlessly scouring the market. He said of his search: “There are lots and lots of irons in lots and lots of fires. “I believe they will all be very good players and will give us the balance we are sadly lacking. “The difficult thing is, if you want to talk to someone about selling their striker or midfield player or winger, central defender or whatever position, they don't really know yet. “They have a couple of games before January, so they might have injuries and not be able to sell the player you want. “It gets down to what we can actually do, who wants to come to Leicester, who is already going somewhere else. “We will not miss the boat on anybody and hopefully it will be down to my powers of persuasion to talk them into what we can do here.” A win against Charlton tomorrow would really make people sit up and take notice. And that includes Holloway's targets.
