Does anyone think things will improve after Ollie has made all his signing's?

I think that signing foreign players is a better option than signing english players as they have more desire and passion for the game! :D They also would hopefully add flair and confidence to are team.

Like Djiziri, Ferreira, Kishishev and Kaebi?

Actually I don't know that Kishishev and Kaebi had no passion for the game but they don't seem to have brought more flair or confidence in their time.

Arsene Wenger made the telling point on TV yesterday that foreign players need at least six months to acclimatise and he makes allowance for that before thinking of putting them in the first team.

What he said seems obious to me but it should have some clout coming from him.

We can't afford the luxury of a six months wait. We need people who can do the job now.

That's not to pre-judge our new winger either. We desperately need him to succeed. But 'll be amazed if he suddenly provides the answer to our prayers, even if he has the talent there. English football will be a totally different experience to what he's been used to.

He might adapt and I hope he does. But he'll be a rare person in deed if he does so from the off and without any problems.

True but sometimes you gotta plan! i mean it worked wonders for the A-Team!

Wise words indeed, and I pity the fool that does not heed them.

He said he would not return for any of Plymouths players. He bid for Hayles and got him because Hayles is past it. But now he has tried bidding for David Norris (just seen it on sky sports news). What a lying waste of space. I expect you foxes fans to say "its partof the game"...but have a proper look at how this idiot has conducted himself over the last few months. A liar. He is losing respect within the game. For your sake...I hpe you get rid of him...no fans deserve him.

In some ways Holloway and the players are irrelevant. If we go down this year, it will be as a result of two or three years fall into the abyss. The players we have, the chairman, manager we have are all a product of City's spirit.....it's rockbottom......and I see relegation looming.

Do I blame Holloway....not really.....do I blame the players ...not really......I just feel karma coming on and maybe the players feel that......maybe we deserve to drop....we did after all cheat our fate when dear 'ol MM chugged into town.

So I won't blame anyone come March, but I will know wether we have the personnel to improve our lot next year. To not succeed while we have MM's money to spend would be nothing less than inept...and I cannot see how anyone on here could disagree with that.

Yes I have no doubt.

There's no way we can be worse and I'm sure we'll move up the table eventually to the dizzy heights of around 18th where I think we'll eventually finish.

Well more fool you gullible lot. You just don't listen do you.

I have already told your other cronies that Norris will be gone either to us or another championship side before the window closes or at the end of the season at the very latest.

Its not rocket science, your a selling club that pulls a pathetic 12,000 for you home games!!

Why should Holloway limit his options and not come in for players he knows very well ?

What does Ian Holloway owe to the Plymouth supporters ?

Hasn't Ian Holloway being proved right when he said your chairman would break up the side this season and that was one of the reasons he was leaving ?

If you want to moan why don't you save it for your own chairman = (WHAT A LYING SNAKE)

P.S.

Holloway has fak all to do with you now = (And We Luv The Man)

Promising signs so far:

2-0 win in First game - no manager does that

Going back to 4-4-2 (ish as i understand)

Wanting to play attacking football

Getting rid of players like Newton, Cort etc

Getting some performances out of Stearman

Looking to sign players in problem positions

Signing players on Loan first - have a look, if they're shit bomb em, don't get lumbered with them on a three year deal

Disapointing Signs:

Defending going shite

Playing four strikers, 6 defenders and a goalkeeper - even if forced too

Having to play Hendo!

All in all, i'm still waiting for that signing to excite me - Alnwick has encoureged me, but I want a couple of exciting wingers - if this hungarian lad is decent then fair play, but we have to wait and see.

But I like Ollie, he's proven to find random bargins from no-where so lets see what comes - fingers crossed a few gems.

I've learnt not too expect too much from now on, Year on Year on Year now every season has been a new fresh start, Year on Year on Year every season has been a huge disappointment, If you don't expect too much you can't be as disappointed is the way I see it.

TBH I don't think we can expect too much, Put it this way if Ollie can get us to mid-table at the least he'll be considered a god, that's how bad it is...If you said about 5/6 years ago we'd be happy Leicester City fans if we were mid-table in the Championship i'd have laughed in there faces.

These Plymouth nut jobs are doing my head in now, you can't have a sensible discussion anymore without one of these twats around. It's football. Your chairman said Leicester hadn't made any contact with regard to Ollie (when we blatantly had) and Paul Sturrock said he'd never sell any players to us and then sold us Hayles.

Seriously, take your green spectacles off piss off back to your own boards if you can't have a sensible discussion.

Give the man some time, i reckon it takes a season before you can really judge a manager. A bit stability is undoubtably needed. Let him sign his own players and give him a pre-season then judge him.

I don't think we will go down;

If this 'keeper is half decent then hopefully he an inspire a bit of composure in the defense (like Fulop did).

We needed a target-man and Howard looks a good signing, hayles I reckon is here more to guide the younger players.

He has signed a hugarian winger (or two), width is obviously what

We've been linked with a some half decent central midfielders (kavanagh and Carter) which is promising

I'm not saying we are going to charge up the league but I do think we will have enough quality to keep out of a real relegation dogfight (i.e around March time)
