MikeyT Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Roy keane's just a t*at anyway! I still think after the tackle he made on Haaland all those years ago, he should have been banned from playing football for life. He even admitted trying to seriously injure the guy in his piece of crap book. I hate the guy. Yes he was a great footballer, but that doesnt take the fact away that he's a piece of s*it. Sorry, just really hate the guy...can you tell?

On the point, have you even read his book? Michael Owen's book is a good read aswell, although dominated with horse racing and injuries...

potter3 Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Clarke's thoughts on Roy Keane THIS is the original interview
Sly Posted 8 January 2008 Author Posted 8 January 2008 THIS is the original interview Interesting read that.
Ultra Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 There's already a thread on this.. As far as the Keane/Haaland incident was concerned, there was quite a bit of "history" between them, as the book makes clear. Basically Haaland accused Keane some years previously of faking an injury, and it turned out Keane had torn cruciate ligaments. Other people in the game (including Stan Collymore, a former team-mate) have testified that Haaland was a pretty nasty piece of work. Although none of this excuses the horrendous challenge made by Keane (for which he was VERY heavily punished, both at the time and when the book was published) it does suggest there may have been some mitigating circumstances. Regardless of what Clarke thinks about him, I still wish we'd have gone for him as manager when we had the chance.
Micky Ruddle Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 THIS is the original interview Shaun Newton in tears bless him I think it's fair to say that we're all glad that he is still alive. Lets just hope nothing bad happens to him again like that. Scary stuff
Darkzzz_ Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Keano is just trying to be the next Sir Alex Ferguson!!

WetFlannel Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Its a quality book if you actually broaden your horizons further than LCFC I thought Fowlers was much better than Keanes

Tommy G Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 Keanes a cock. People go on about how they wouldnt want to get on the wrong side of him but he's a little shit. Yeh, good luck with saying that to his face!
Tommy G Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 I read Keane's book ages ago when it first came out, but i havent read Michael Owen's book yet.Any good? Yep, very. As much as I hate ashley cole I've read his book aswell, he comes across as a bit of a nob but puts a different view across on the tapping up saga - whether its the truth or not we'll never know?
