Joe. Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Pffft dont even bother trying to say were quiet when we travel away , dont even bother Well last season you were silenced pretty early
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I can guarantee there'll be between 30 and 32,000 there.Tenner says so too. Which band was playing that night then? Wrong. One family. Just quite big. And relieved to be out of Coventry for a few hours no doubt. I sniggered at all of those.
Bert Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 hahahahahighest the ricoh has seen is 29,378 dont think it will be higher than that families wel see tommorrow when you lot wont want to no , as usual We've had 32k in ours. How many away fans are included in that 29K? Well last season you were silenced pretty early

Our home support is pretty awful but there is no chance you outsang us that game. That's the only match I've ever really remembered getting quite hyped for before hand at home for a while. The start of N Block helped and the fact that your boys can't throw coins for shit!
George Posted 11 January 2008 Author Posted 11 January 2008 Im not lying im an honest person , honest but like i didnt hear one peep from behind your goal , your supposedly main singing stand either side of us was fairly noisy , but when you go to Villa Blues , they create a magnificent atmosphere all around the ground.

Yeah, that was our main singing sections then. But let's not go down the route of atmosphere at the Walkers again, not yet!

We have about the worst atmosphere in the league at home, but you certainly didnt outsing us that game! I say outsing, that would suggest folk actually sang, it was probably more like none of you're lot said a word and one of ours did!
George Posted 11 January 2008 Author Posted 11 January 2008 haha its these new stadiums i think mate , same at the Ricoh , no atmos at all , but at Filbert and Highfield rd , it was very hostile and very noisy. So maybe its the acoustics in the ground ?

So maybe its the acoustics in the ground ? I reckon so. But the season we went up, it was decent. Depends if the fans can be arsed i.e how well the teams doing...
Simi Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 There's something inevitable about where this discussion seems to be heading... I think there is as well. BUT... To be safe, should we start a poll?
Trumpet Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 25,000 max i'd have thought 25,000 Max Gradel's? Don't get him excited!
sdb Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 25,000 Max Gradel's? Don't get him excited! i've just noticed he's at bournmouth for the rest of the eason now, so 24,999 max

How would you know? You've not been to Villa since they sent you down. They seemed pretty quiet when we went there this season - especially when we beat them!

Although i am a Coventry fan i do attend some Villa games and the atmosphere they generate is quality , plus ive been to Villa Park 6 times with Coventry, no offence , but Carling Cup, Lower league team , i dont think theyd be too botherd ....

You could say the same about your cup expoits this season but every coventry fan still talked it up no end. The debate about atmosphere is stupid. Both our new grounds are as gash as each other and we know it.

If you beat Man Utd 2 nil , you woudnt shut up about it And ino there both awful atmospherically , what i was pointng out earlier if you actually read the post
Jack Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 If the atmosphere isn't good tomorrow, it never will be. We may have 4 or 5 new signings playing against local rivals, hopefully we can do them like last season
James. Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Hopefully not What forum do Coventry fans use? Might have a gander.
