potter3 Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Yeah but this Age character is no Michael Essien. Yes but Age is Sappleton's alter ego, and he will break you.
lildave3 Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Hes good on Football Manager though. Until I sign him, I can turn many a good player shit. Including myself.
WetFlannel Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Torres is alot younger so I would go with him. Drogba has alot of strengths, but he never settled as quickly as Torres did.
The Reverend Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 KAKA Again a tough one. In my opinion, Drogba is winning this one by a long way. Brilliant ion everything he does. Only thing he is not quite as good at is the technical side of the game, and he is probably not quite as intelligent on the field as Torres. Goalscoring wise its Drogba. As i've said in the past, i was sceptical of Torres, i was never overly impressed with his finishing, but he has exceeded my expectations, though at the same time could of had a hatful more. When his finishing is at the same level as Nandos, then he will rival the Drog. But age is on his side. Shame hes at Liverpool really, Man Utd was the club for him.
Finnegan Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Torres offers you something Drogba doesn't, real intelligence. I'm surprised at Thracian's vote, in all seriousness. Not having a dig here, but I'd imagine Torres to be much more a Thracian player. Drogba's big and strong and can finish, exactly what Chelsea need - but he scores his goals as the lone figurehead of a fantastic, fantastic side. Torres has always been in lesser sides but offers far much more. I've always considered Drogba a little overrated, really, a product of his team more than his own immense talent. Some of his longer range belters have been good goals, but I don't think you should measure a striker on how far out they can score from a couple of times a season. If that's all that mattered, Matty Taylor would have been the best midfielder in the world last year.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 No Brainer T-O-R-R-E-S He just seems to have that X-factor that little something that only the special players have.
