MikeyT Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 I blinked and missed it. You arent the only one!
Unit Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 There was a 10 minute blizzard thing in town yesterday, me and my mate stood on the bridge over burleys way it was amazing, then it stopped, that was it except a tiny bit when I woke up. Crap.
FilboFox Posted 2 February 2008 Posted 2 February 2008 Lot of snow this morning. Then it went. A lot!?!? Where the hell are you in Leicester? I was up till 4am and it was a minute amount of snow... barely covered the surface and unless it snowed again which was highly unlikely then it was not a lot... Like the first post says... blink and you missed it... I just looked out of the window and saw the dusting before I went to bed... never saw it actually snowing...
General Smuts Posted 3 February 2008 Posted 3 February 2008 Lot of snow this morning. Then it went. My car were covered and the roads had about 2 inches of snow on it. Im making up measurements but ithere were quite a bit.

We didn't even get that. Just wet ground. No snow. Let down.

Yesterday's snow would have been A LOT to him... bless! Makes me laugh when you see news reports of people stranded in terrible snow in the north and there's about an inch of snow on the ground! Dunno how we used to cope I really don't!
Lillehamring Posted 3 February 2008 Posted 3 February 2008 normal winter service has resumed here... about 10 centimetres, seems to have stoped for a bit, but due to carry on tonight... going out for a stroll in it to the museum, all snuggly wrapped up, and shirt sleeves in doors.
Rincewind Posted 3 February 2008 Author Posted 3 February 2008 I didn't really miss it. I was working when it started. had to walk around in it. It was on only surface snow when I walked home at 6am. It had missed parts of Queens Road and Vicky Park was OK. What I was most worried about was it freezing. Then it would be like a skating rink to walk on. I'm awful at walking on ice. I would have preferred more snow, because at least you know what you are walking on. Some of the surface ice cannot be seen and thats when I go slipping and sliding on my arse.. THIS IS A LOT OF SNOW Used to get this much every year.
