Bryn Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 One step forwards, two steps backward. Team News Posted on: Sat 16 Feb 2008 City boss Ian Holloway has made two changes to his starting line up for the Championship clash against Norwich City at the Walkers Stadium. In come Iain Hume and Joe Mattock for Gabor Bori and Jamie Clapham. Mattock looks set to move up to the left hand side of midfield, allowing Clapham to take up the full-back position. More to follow... City: Alnwick, Stearman, Kisnorbo, McAuley, Clapham, Hume, Clemence, Oakley, Mattock, Campbell, Howard. Subs: Hayles, Chambers, Fryatt, N'Gotty, Laczko. Fingers crossed, we need points today. Oh btw, good effort OS. It's actually (and obviously) Chambers that has made way for Mattock.
StroudFox Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Hume on the wing! :frusty: And Bori not in the squad at all?!!! And no Kishishev after all! not even on the bench!
MC Prussian Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 I sense danger there. But not necessarily for Norwich. If Hume can for once bring in some decent crosses or dribble into the box without giving up possession, then we're on a good path. If not, we're screwed. I fear he might move into the centre of midfield too often, neglecting his duties as a winger. Good to see Mattock on. Clapham's form has decreased already - he had a few shockers vs. Watford and was partially responsible for letting Argyle stay inside our box a week ago, which ultimately led to that unnecessary loss. God, and this midfield needs to work forward for once.
Jon the Hat Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 We can only ask once again... if our Hungarian wingers are not fit or not up to it then why in the name of god is Gradel at Bournemouth?
StroudFox Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 I am not looking forward to listening to this game, I don't think we will do very well. I hope we do but please let us have some luck and skill! btw has anyone else got commentary yet on the console? ignore this comment - just turned volume up and can now hear Barber's silky voice!
Jon the Hat Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Sounds like the pitch is even worse today. Great.
MC Prussian Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Sounds like the pitch is even worse today. I thought it had gotten better over the past few days? Bloody LCFC puppet Bill Anderson can quit the Mercury and look for a job that suits his abilities.
Moreton Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Hume on the wing again!! This is getting stupid. Recall Gradel and Sling Beswick in there. Live Chat
MC Prussian Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 I've got to target three wins from those three games. That's what we need and that's what we're after. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/7245401.stm Big words from such a small bloke like you, Ollie. We'll see how the team lives up to these expectations in a few minutes.
StroudFox Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 C'mon you blues! Leicester, Leicester, Leicester, Leicesteeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Jon the Hat Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 may the best team win today lads Sod that.. If we take that attitude we will be in League one next season!
MC Prussian Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 fooking "Hey Jude"! Couldn't have picked a better tune before kick-off, could they?
Ozwin Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Why do they play that 'Nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah' song before the game? Surely at the end that'd be better?
MC Prussian Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 may the best team win today lads It'd be a massive surprise if we won today. We're crap. Absolute cack.
MC Prussian Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Why do they play that 'Nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah' song before the game? Surely at the end that'd be better? The club responsibles have no fooking clue what they're doing. Totally unprofessional.
canary yella Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 It'd be a massive surprise if we won today. We're crap. Absolute cack. this is norwich city you're playing against. Cheer up we used to be shit and now look at us
Smiffy Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 this is norwich city you're playing against. Cheer up we used to be shit and now look at us Yeah, I'm failing to see the positives here
MC Prussian Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 this is norwich city you're playing against. Cheer up we used to be shit and now look at us I'd love to feel better. But I can't bring myself to it.
Ozwin Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 It'd make sense at the end as it's a sort of 'See you later' song. Before it's just a bit depressing.
