You idiots. I'm sure you can go to a Kasabian gig elsewhere.

Why do you care if there's a load of screaming kids? - or are you going to be there to see Darius et al? This will make us a decent amount of money I'm sure. Don't be so bloody negative.

It's more likely to be 14,000 kids/families. I think the acts are more likely to sell out than would be the case if it was Kasabian and some other lesser-well known bands. Good move by Mace imo.

Spot on.

Not my cup of tea, but all that means is I won't be going.

As long as someone doesn't write "I love Mark Owen" on my seat, I don't care!

To be honest the line up does represent Leicesters viability for holding events and attracting the big talented stars.

It is pretty poor.

Walkers could be a great venue, its not the stadium thats holding us back its the city. The city council and government need to promote us more.

Good Quote about the council here,

What i was getting at is that ok, we have to adopt here a flexible attitide to making money, getting a good name for gig/festivals and selection of the correct bands.

One Big Sundae does this at demontfort... and so did the Radio 1 gigs

Kasabian would fill the stadium and they are true CITY fans abit like Oasis and Man City.

Never heard of lamerea or liberty XL... that reminds me where the liberty statue!

lollollollol:blink:

It will be hard to accommodate everyones taste in one festival! Maybe it will be an Indie/Rock (or whatever) festival next time.......

bet you a new strip i wont.... more like gary barlow

Yeah its difficult to accomodate everybody and i can understand that,

BUT, if you look at the line up it is just 1 type of music and if they mixed it up a bit, just like at one big sunday there would be no problems.

I think Kasabian would be able to sell out at Filbert Way. They're having to do gigs in places like Nottingham because they've already done the biggest ones in Leicester like universities. Tickets for Nottingham arena are about £15 and I don't think there's loads left so we'd make a bit if they were doing the same here.

that reminds me where the liberty statue!

They took it to a stone mason to do some work on it. It was going to be put in the middle of the new student flats but when up close it looked nothing like the statue of liberty. Last time I saw it , it was in the Filbert Street car park laying down. It looked very impressive so I guess it's been put in the yard of the student flats now.
