filbertway Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Too good to go down = too bad to stay upSimply arithmetics. Bollocks.. Man Utd too good to go down = to bad too stay up
Thracian Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 The same Beaglehole, who you slammed for grinding out a 0-0 draw with Holloway's Plymouth? Yes and who I've been able to praise not only for the vast majority of results but the vast majority of performances from his charges. I'm not blind to the fact that was a worthwhile point at Plymouth either. It was just that I felt he had one brief chance to make a real impact and didn't grasp it. The professional thing was praiseworthy but not outstanding. And despite me thinking he's had so much to offer he got the same criticism for being negative as anyone else would have got.
Fat Ron Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 It's the same thing he's just using different words. We have enough Quality individuals to get out of trouble = too good to go down. The key point that they are missing is that quality on it's own is not enough you need the right mentality, the reason we're in this mess is because this so called this so called quality gets beaten by lesser quality teams because they want it more, know they've got to fight for it, and have the strength of mind to overcome adversity. We're fast looking like a bunch of namby pamby prima donnas. Its not the same at all, Its putting the emphesis back with the Coaching staff to turn those individuals into a team capable of winning enough games to stay up, if they cant then we wont. Too good to go down is almost as bad as saying we deserve the Premiership, we dont as we (the Team) have been dreadful for years and deserve nothing more than we get come then end of the season. Milan is spot on when he says we have enough individual talent, problem is that accounst for **** all if they cant work in a team. I dont disagree that we are fast looking like a bunch of namby pamby prima donnas
Asha Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Then again though, our home form is looking pretty good at the momemt. We win all our home games, we're staying up. It's got to be case of playing to win at home and trying to snatch the point away. We can't win away the way we play, so we need to be battling for the points. May not be a pretty, but seeing Leicester mid-table in League One next season won't be either
MC Prussian Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Bollocks..Man Utd too good to go down = to bad too stay up There is NO flow in my theory! Besides, it's a Leicester thing only. OK, maybe a Leeds one, too.

The key point is how the players/coaches react. It can be a case of hey MM thinks we're quality and we can win these games because of that or MM thinks for the quality that we posssess we're not delivering let's get our arses into gear. It's a risk! It's not as bad as trying to get a loan goalie in and failing, that's sure to give Henderson the confidence he needs on his return.

Even if you've be after a guy on loan why make the any announcement? Especially when you've failed. It's like Holloway's saying: "I've tried to do something but couldn't so t's not my fault if things go wrong."
