No one can deny that Clemence hasnt lived up to his potential since being here!

Nevertheless i'd still want him in the team every week!

And that just proves how poor we are, in that we don't have any worthwhile replacements for him. He probably knows that too - which is why he knows he can get away with sub-par performances and still find his way into the team.

Complacency must be his middle name!

I was excited when he signed.

He is a decent player.

However he hasnt lived upto the expectations of being the Ex Birmingham Captain who helped get them promoted last season.

suppose i was just expecting more from him :dunno:

It is as simple as the above, we had far higher expectations of him and he has failed to deliver.

As for captaincy material, when we are 1-0 down with 5 minutes to go and earn a corner I expect to see a player charging to the corner to tajke the kick and showing urgency. Clemence ALWAYS strolls over as if we have bags of time. This is poor in my opinion and sets a bad example to the rest of the players.

I have also failed to see him geeing up the rest of the players when we are down - it isn't just ollie who has to motivate, the capatain has to do it too.

It really winds me up when I see him do that. It just isn't good eough. Unprofessional. :nono:

Anybody who says Gareth Williams is of the same standard as Stephen Clemence is a fcking idiot.

No, it's just that some people have different opinions.

Clemence has improved over the course of the season and can now be spotted shouting at players. Not often enough, not loud enough, but shouting nonetheless. He is a class above anything else we have in that position and has put in one of the best performances of the season when he destroyed Coventry's midfield at home.

Andy Johnson destroyed Coventry's midfield last season. Doesn't say much really.

Totally agree. Let's just stop it here and say CLEMENCE IS PISS-POOR! And I don't remembering him having a good game against Coventry  I think it was more Zsolt and the new signings. He has been a liability for the team this season - end of.

Yes it is about opinions, i know someone that thinks David Bentley is better than Christiano Ronaldo, he's wrong though isnt he?

We certainly didn't miss Clem today.

no and I think Oakley should be given the captaincy permanently, who knows maybe that'll lift the pressure off of Clem and he'll start performing to the best of his ability, I certainly hope so

Yes. Hayles and Fryatt up front is the answer.

I think Fryatt probably deserves a start but you can only really replace Campbell with him, but we need the pace Campbell has so that's not really an option. Hayles or Howard is more of a toss up, Howard is better in the air but Hayles is more mobile and has a better touch

DJ got 4 league goals all season and Bazza has 2 ... How many starts as Bazza had though up front ?

Hume and Fryatt up front i would go.

It has saved us before.

Every game Clem is out we play so much better.

We played superb today, made so many chances yet against Preston with Clem we created nothing.

All he is good for is giving the ball away, and making chances for the other team, and being a shit non inspirational captain.

Please Ollie, don't bring him back in the team.
