Highest was about $3.59 a gallon yesterday. Gone back down to $3.19 today.

Shocking prices.

About 42p per litre

Says it all really.

Here in Ottawa, the highest price I ever saw was about $1.35 (67.5p) per litre - shortly after Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf coast.

Today's high price line is 115.9 (58.0p) and the low is 103.8 cents per litre (51.5p).

Its funny how the Americans complain about the rise in gas prices. I just laugh because after living in England for the first 27 years of my life I know how good they have got it.

Doesn't really affect me either way anyway as I ride a bike. :)

When I was in NZ petrol was 96 cents / litre = 33p/litre in real money... :( That's depressing!!!

It is without doubt a national disgrace and whichever government is in charge sould redress this situation immediately. :@

It quite amazes me that people just swallow being victims of blatant highway robbery with hardly a ripple of protest.

Unleaded petrol is now 112.9p a litre or £11.70 per 50-litre tank more than last Easter.

We were encouraged to go for more economical diesel vehicles with the consequence that diesel, once cheaper than petrol, is now 125.9 a litre or £16.70p per tank more than last Easter.

These robbing bastards we keep electing to govern us take 62.3 pence in tax from every £1 spent which is at least 23p more than any other European nation.

So much for a Government that is supposed to help working people.
