Bellend Sebastian Posted 13 March 2008 Posted 13 March 2008 Cooking oil's the answer! A mate of mine runs his diesel car on that. He reckons it works fine. I think I'm right in saying that technically you should still pay duty on it - I'm sure he does. Ahem
andyh1884 Posted 13 March 2008 Posted 13 March 2008 Cooking oil's the answer! I'm interested. I do 400 miles a week. What sort of cooking oil? Olive? Sunflower? Corn? Sesame? I'd love to see what the checkout girls made of it when I whack 50 litres of the stuff on the conveyor

Tabou Posted 13 March 2008 Posted 13 March 2008 I paid 120.9p in Northampton for super unleaded (normal was out of order). That is actually ridiculous. What is crimestoppers rape support number? I need it.
The People's Hero Posted 13 March 2008 Posted 13 March 2008 I paid 124.9p for the super unleaded stuff down here when the unleaded pump wasn't working/was empty. That was down here in Maidstone. I prefer not to think about it.

Smudge Posted 13 March 2008 Posted 13 March 2008 About 42p per litre Spot on The most I have paid was $3.15 last week on the way back from Atlanta. My car does about 26 mpg so our journey of 575 miles cost about 35 quid each way. Not bad for two people.
