Floating Fox Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 If you're driving, you can give me a lift to aways 'cos I may well be living as a freeloading student in Sheffield as well. Safe! Subsidise my driving and I'll definitely get a ST This has made my likelyhood of Hallam increase.
C-man Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 This has made my likelyhood of Hallam increase. Haha, suits me fine Andy!
Floating Fox Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 Haha, suits me fine Andy! Out of intrest. You going to the proper Sheff uni or the fake one like Jamie and (Possibly) me....
C-man Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 Out of intrest. You going to the proper Sheff uni or the fake one like Jamie and (Possibly) me.... The real one, if I decide to work for my grades in the summer.
C-man Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 Which is the fake one? Sheffield Hallam. The equivalent of De Mont.
Floating Fox Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 Which is the real one? Sheffield Uni. Equal to Leicester uni.
lcfc_jme Posted 23 March 2008 Posted 23 March 2008 Safe! Subsidise my driving and I'll definitely get a ST I can live with that. It'll be a bit special, I'd bet. This has made my likelyhood of Hallam increase. Make it happen, Atmosphere Pigeon. Out of intrest. You going to the proper Sheff uni or the fake one like Jamie and (Possibly) me.... It's not the fake one, it's for capable people who are just too lazy to work hard enough and fulfill their potential, much like the current Leicester City starting lineup. At least, that's what I keep telling myself.
Thracian Posted 24 March 2008 Posted 24 March 2008 I like to think I haven't made my mind up about next season. I'm loving my golf. There's a really good fixture list at Kilworth Springs and I've just discovered there's a society for ex-Senior League footballers based at Cosby, so I'm told, and really I'm much happier playing sport than watching, at least when City are losing. I was sceptical when Mandaric arrived but the all-round mismanagement at City this season and the ridiculous turn around in often sub-standard and poorly-checked players, particularly foreigners, has left me seriously disillusioned and I've virtually given up on away matches because the outlook seems unjustified in view of our invariably unadventurous outloook on our travels. My sporting highlight this season was not at the Walkers, it was an eagle 2 at the 381-yard ninth at Kilworth last week although I did enjoy the Coventry game, the Norwich game and certainly a good few of the reserves games. Often it's the social side to football that's the saving grace but the sheer frustration of watching City these days seems to get worse and worse. Our club seems to have become simply the plaything of some rich guy from the back of beyond. Our managers come and go like positional changes in a Paul Jewell film but, sadly, with all the impact, not of a rampant stud, but of pensioners sitting on a park bench watching birds eat bread. And talking of bread, indecent chunks of it have been thrown out for the players and devoured in gluttinous haste while the fans have been left to feed off mere morsels in terms of either entertainment or worthwhile achievement. It's all been going to change for four seasons now. But while managers have changed and players have changed both the football and our results have remained stubbornly mediocre. Having to decide whether to watch again next season is akin to wondering if I'd like to watch a dentist drill teeth but it's also like seeing someone getting hammered in the street. You don't really fancy getting involved but it's so damned hard just to walk away. Supporting your football club is a thrill in the good times but a duty in the bad so either way it's compelling. And you always believe the good times will either start next week or are just around the next corner. And after all you've suffered you don't want to miss them. I can say I want to stop, I can feel like I want to stop. But I've said that about the Barbars yet the Swan staff just pour the drink before I even order it. It's a part of what you are, I suppose.
Ultra Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 There is no way I'm renewing with this manager and this chairman. Between them they have taken this club into the gutter. So many of the performances haven't even approached mediocrity, yet the standard appears to be accepted by many fans who presumably can't remember anything better. It will probably take a home midweek defeat by the likes of Stockport in front of fewer than 15k before some on here accept the need for change. Even then, we'll no doubt see brain-dead Mercury "readers" demand support for the manager and the team. We deserve better. The question, however, is what are we prepared to do to achieve it?
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 27 March 2008 Posted 27 March 2008 I think any sort of price increase is an absolute disgrace and the people at the club should hang there heads in shame. How it is even being contemplated is beyond me. We've shown no real signs of improvements this season, despite the promise things were going to get better. Milan will talk about the money he has put into the club. To be honest I couldn't care less. Most of it is down to his own mistakes and poor decsions. £1 million on agency fees for a start is disgusting. But apparently we're expected to pay for that with our own hard-earned while the incompetent twats carry on picking up there inflated wages. I find it hard to swallow to be honest. I'm trying so hard to convince myself not to get one if the prices go up, but I know I won't succeed. It's mugs like myself that let these things go ahead because they know there is a big base of fans that will renew no matter what. I agree with you.RL reported earlier today and said the increase was down to some dreadful decisions made this season.I think you can only point the finger in one direction with that one.

I hate the way you're talking about this, you sound like an idiotic Newcastle fan. We deserve nothing mate. Nothing. You'd like more, and we will be a very well supported club in league 1, but the fact is the players let us down this year. And I for one WILL be there next year because I support Leicester. Piss off to Man U if you want to support glory or feel you DESERVE something better. Not how it works mate. Who says you deserve more than a Carlisle fan or a Swansea fan? You've tasted success and now you demand it like a drug fiendish Camden coke slut who's spoilt. It'll taste sweeter still after this current dip. But you certainly don't deserve anything.

isaidno Posted 27 March 2008 Posted 27 March 2008 I haven't had a season ticket for the last 2 seasons. The reason. I'm now 24, I used to have a cheaper under 22 ticket. I now pay at the gate and get in for under 22. Saves me money and I can pick my matches
