I noticed there wasn't a topic about this!

The four people charged with his murder (New Years Day) all pleaded not guilty!

From what I heard, the 2 named Darren Carr and Nicola Faulds held him down whilst one of the 15 year old's stabbed him in the neck, whats strange is I went school with Nicola and my neice went school and was good friends with Bradley!

So you actually know the girl who held him down?

Went school with her, she was 2 years above me! I was best friends with her cousin.

Was shocked when I found out who it was.

New years day.

He was a top lad, was a year older than me at school. No one ever had a bad word to say about him.

Started doing a bit of teaching this year as well at my school.

heh of course they pleaded not guilty, they dont want mandatory life sentences

plead not guilty, get the jury to sympathise, be found guilty for manslaughter and hope for a lenient judge; 15 years max?

Bring back the chair :@

A man allegedly murdered a college student on New Year's Day before handing himself in and telling police "I am scum", a court heard today.

Just hours after Bradley Whitfield bled to death in the street in the early hours of January 1, Darren Carr walked into a police station and allegedly said: "I am scum. I have no excuse. I was drunk. I cannot bring the lad back. He was just a kid. I am going to do life. I am going to prison."

It is alleged Carr, 35, girlfriend Nicola Faulds, 32, and two younger co-defendants killed the 16-year-old victim in an alcohol-fuelled attack after celebrating the New Year in Leicester.

The victim was walking with friends and a brother in Fosse Road South when he crossed paths with the defendants, Nottingham Crown Court was told.

Trouble began when one of the younger defendants shouted abuse at Bradley's group, to which one of them replied: "What's your problem?"

The row sparked an attack which left Bradley with multiple injuries, including the fatal, 2.5in-deep puncture wound in his neck.

It is claimed Carr delivered the lethal blow, with a broken vodka bottle, but his three co-defendants also took part in the assault. The victim was also kicked, punched and hit with a metal bar.

Carr and Faulds, both formerly of Caldecote Road, Braunstone, and their co-defendants – who cannot be named for legal reasons – deny murder.
