Fighting back at the glory hunters?

We've got one lad at college who thinks he's the biggest Yanited fan ever. This is all because he buys every home and away shirt, watches every match on Sky and learns all the words to the chants. I think he's been to one of the knock-off Champs League games and that's it.

At the end of the day, they can have all the success they want, but I gurantee they won't feel the passion we do. That feeling when you get drawn against Forest. The feeling when you score away at Preston. None of the feelings like that, 'cos it's not in there blood. That's something you'll always have over a glory fan.

i remember watching the draw to that and coming on here after to find a thread already 4 pages long. fantastic.

ManYoo fans are great, "Man Utd" fans are shite.

Glory supporters are starting to piss me off to another level now. Thought I'd recycle this thread as it's sort of on the same topic.

There's 15 people in my Psychology class, and as a sort of survey we were asked our 3 favourite football teams.

Some of them honestly have no idea.

One lad said 'Favourite - Man Yoo, Second - Chelsea, Third, Liverpool':blink: ....Actually most of them had some kind of combination of the top 4...

Then I waded in with - First 'Leicester', Second 'Hinckley, and Third 'Thurnby Rangers'. :D

It also peeves me how when a topic of football arises I'm asked 'who do you support? Man Utd?'....'Er, no Leicester.'....'Yeah but who you like out the good teams?'

Reminds me of one boy when I was at school, "supported" Man Yanited and Liverpool equally, had both team's shirts, bragged about both. Pillock.

And I also remember when we were all asked for our footballing idols. The usual suspects came out- "Beckham, Henry, Owen", and then amazingly, "Sinclair (Frank)" was brought into the debate. The glory-hunters asked who he played for :giggle:

Just talk about Leicester's next match, and team, all the time, and ignore them. They get so wound up in my experience.

The particular comment Ched said a while a go summed it all up.

The passion we feel compared to them will be something they will never have.

I have a lot of these (so called) fans around my way, I just call them armchair fans or ask them questions about their clubs.

Usually shuts them up.

I am proud to be a City fan, I love Leicester, Nobody can take that out of me.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Has anyone every gringly watched "Your on skysports".

Oh my god. "And heres bellend #1, a Manure supporter from Southend"...."Bellend #2, A Liverpool fan from Exeter"

Jesus I hate it.

6-0-6 isn't much better. So full of mundane calls about the Premier League. Where's the quirky calls anymore? The 'Big Four' phenomenon is destroying football, and the sooner they pissoff into a European Super League, the better.

Even from the age of six, I learned the way to deal with glory hunters.

Glory Hunting Six year old:"Man U are better than Leicester"

Six year old Me: "I know."

Simple.
