off the top of my head, probably a few obvious absentees

Honarable mentions - Wilson Palacious and Skrtle at Liverppol who i think have great prem futures ahead of them!!

Well I wasn't going by natural position just by the best players really in either defence, midfield or attack, found it hard to leave out those players.

Good team, i keep forgetting how Sagna's absence has affected Arsenal recently. Not happy with peoples choices of Terry and Berbatov. Are people thinking of last season?!

Berbatov has proved as successful as Rooney this season in roughly the same amount of appearances in a frequently stuttering Tottenham side.

yeh but i wouldn't put rooney in my team either!!

in fairness, berba's scored more than i thought this season (20 something jeff stelling said earlier). if i were to pick maybe 20/25 players this season then he'd be in it but if we're naming 11 i don't think he should be ahead of adebayor or torres

IMO Mate, I'd put Rooney in ahead of Adebayor every day of the week. I think Rooney has been brilliant all season whereas Adebayor is a little inconsistent. Although Rooney has not scored as much as Adebayor, he creates chance after chance. As well as the chances he creates the lad has a brilliant football brain at such a young age and him and Ronaldo they have a real understanding between each other.

If I had to choose Rooney or Adebayor, it would definitley have to be Rooney. :thumbup:

Can I ask people how Adebayor is in peoples teams? He's an absolute donkey. If Berbatov played for Arsenal I'm sure he would score more than Adebayor.

Im with you on this one Mate.

Adebayor scores as much as he does because he gets it put on a plate for him, Im certain that if Berbatov played for then he would score just as much, if not more.

i think rooney's a better player too but in my premiership team 2007/08 i'd pick adebayor because he's scored considerably more goals :thumbup:

I haven't seen Santa Cruz mentioned in this thread. Got 16 goals in the Premier League this season in a team outside of the "big four".
