lildave3 Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Hull v Bristol Donny v Carlisle Wycombe v Rochdale Is what i'd love, very much doubt it will happen though.
Brainy Posted 4 May 2008 Author Posted 4 May 2008 I wouldnt mind Leeds going up really. It would mean one less title contender, though Carlisle and Doncaster would have something to say about that.
lildave3 Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 I wouldnt mind Leeds going up really. It would mean one less title contender, though Carlisle and Doncaster would have something to say about that. I would. I want at least one big game next year ffs.
Ultra Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I would. I want at least one big game next year ffs. All our games will be big ones, from the opposition's point of view..
purpleronnie Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Teams I'd like to go up would be:- Championship - Hull or Brsitol C League 1 - Doncaster or Carlisle league 2 - Rochdale or Stockport
Floating Fox Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Oh my days Has anyone seen the Torqauy v Exter game? Exter have scored 3 goals in the last 15 minutes to send them through 5-3 On aggregate Bloody effort that is! Local derby as well!
Tevez Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I wanted Torquay up! Poor old Helen. come and get your dinner!!
lildave3 Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 Bristol 1-0 atm, Palace just got a penalty though. Ben Watson taking a penalty in front of their main stand brings back awful memories... Same result, 1-1.
Maybes Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 What a hit. I loved the fact when he was celebrating he was shouting "You fooking what"
Corky Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 What a strike. Hopefully that will send Warnock into a fit of tears
Brainy Posted 10 May 2008 Author Posted 10 May 2008 Is this because of the time added on? He wouldnt be complaining if his side had scored. Obviously.
Corky Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 From what he's said on Sky, he's not happy at all! What was he complaining about? Bristol City's celebrations . Worst loser in football. Hope Bristol City thrash Palace in the second leg
Ultra Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 From Sky.. Warnock wanted Elliott offEagles boss disappointed with referee leniency Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock felt Marvin Elliott should have been sent off for a high tackle on Danny Butterfield, late on in their play-off semi-final defeat to Bristol City. Shortly before The Eagles cancelled out Louis Carey's opener from the penalty spot, Elliott was booked for catching Butterfield with a high boot. Warnock believes that had The Robins been down to ten men then they would not have gone on to win the game through David Noble's stunner. "Obviously I was disappointed that we didn't get more protection. It was obvious their full-backs were going to kick our young lads, and no yellow cards," he told Sky Sports. "It (Elliott's tackle) was the most horrific tackle I've seen for a long time. How that's not a red card? Even the lad expected a red card. "The leniency is beyond me, but I'm not surprised. They should have had 10 men and that would have been straight forward for us." Warnock has conceded City are in the driving seat with their goal advantage, although he does not believe the game is dead and buried. "They've got a massive advantage. They're a goal in front and a big crowd in front of them," he continued. "You never know in football. You could tell their players were celebrating a Wembley appearance on the bench. "Things went against us, but give them credit. [yeah, right..]Great goal. The winning goal was a super goal. You can't complain about that." From the TV footage it is clear there was NO intent in Elliott's challenge as he was looking at the ball. He was reckless rather than malicious, therefore the booking was correct. Same old Warnock, always whinging.. Yet there are STILL those who believe he could have done a job for us..

I see he chose to ignore Shaun Derry harrasing the referee and going in for a reckless, over-the-top challenge on a Bristol City player. What a surprise

What exactly has whinging got to do with doing a job for us? Hasn't hindered Palace has it? And for the record, I was one of the people against him coming here.
Brainy Posted 10 May 2008 Author Posted 10 May 2008 Currently Darlington 1-1 Rochdale. Been a good game. Rochdale's football has been good at times, their fans have been impressive too.
placidcasual Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 92nd minute for Darlo. Not sure what the keeper was up to on that.
Ultra Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 It finished 2-1 to Darlo. The tie is still very much in the balance though. Plenty of good passing football from Rochdale - more than we've seen in some games lately..
SamL Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 What a strike. Hopefully that will send Warnock into a fit of tears Just seen the replay, great goal. Advantage Brizzle.
