Durnerz Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Yes, but the other guy is right when he said a shoe string budget though. And look where he got us when he actually got some money through, buying shite like Williams and yet more old players like Keown, Dublin, journeymen after this last payday, Adams is a short term measure never a long term he built a team for the season, not a team for the long term. Add to that he was tactically inept, as has been shown in every club hes been at since us.
samuel Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Adams was soon exposed when all his decent players left after relegation in 2004.Stop clutching at straws people. Would that not be the same for most clubs though?..

Jay Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Yes, but the other guy is right when he said a shoe string budget though. do we have to go through all this again? Micky Adams was a serial moaner yes he got us promoted with a Premiership strength team BUT he had a massive budget at the club but thought it better to spend it on paying over age has beens £15k a week than by signing a younger player on less wages. the season we got promoted he had a transfer budget of close to £15million including wages and players and pi55ed it away on the likes of Howey and Hignett, the season we came back down he had maybe the highest budget in the league that summer but again pi55ed it away on old has beens like Keown who was only interested in coming to the club for his job!! instead of Youl Mawene who we had on trail and was Derbys player of the season and went on to be Prestons if it has got to the stage of Micky Adams coming back then god help us..... and thats not even going into the likes of Chris Makin, KEVIN PRESSMAN, Jason Wilcox and the list goes on.........

I dont know what gives it away, but i'm under the impression you dont want Adams back here!
Jay Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I dont know what gives it away, but i'm under the impression you dont want Adams back here! you know you might be right.... I just think you need to luck further than the end of Mickys Chin and his constant "keep the faith" to see he made some very poor decisions that had an effect on the club long after he left anyway it's a pointless subject because it's a 2horse race anyway Billy Davies or Ian Dowie

I seriously doubt that.
Jay Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I seriously doubt that. I think you will find that his budget that season was probably close to £7million the likes of Connolly, Dublin, Keown, Wilcox, GEMMILL, Gareth Williams, Makin, NATHAN BLAKE, Kevin Pressman, Gudjohnnson and god knows who else he signed!! you could say that wages, transfer fees and signing on fees for Connolly, Williams, Dublin and Keown on there own would been touching on the £4million mark
Sparky Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 To be honest its pot luck who are next manager will be , hardly anyone on here would have taken Pulis or Phil Brown and look at the jobs they have done . Milan has to strike lucky
Durnerz Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Dont forget Ferdinand, Dickov and Bent and the amazing Freund!!!! Dickov was a Bassett signing

Milan has to strike lucky absolutely spot on, he's done it once with harry redknapp, and no one else since. fvcking joker
shell-shocker Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 take calderwood off us. it might take him a season or 2 to sort out your shitheap, but he will do it in the end. after all, there's no guarantee that you will be promoted in the next 3/4 years

All I've seen on other messageboards is "CC out".
shell-shocker Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 nah he deserves a chance. however, the feeling is we have gone up despite of him, not because of him
