DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I see that Sky airs the occassional League One game - problem is no carrier in Australia can be arsed enough to get the rights to it. Would live streaming be available somewhere on the net? The prospect of missing games because League One is too shit for anyone down here to care is pretty depressing.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 This would be awesome but i doubt it Could always ask the dickens to buy the rights PS. good to see your still alive after a dickens meal
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 6 May 2008 Author Posted 6 May 2008 This would be awesome but i doubt itCould always ask the dickens to buy the rights PS. good to see your still alive after a dickens meal I heard about a West Ham fan who bought the rights to a Championship match many years ago when no Australian carrier had Championship games. What would the cost be? I'd hate to think.

The costs would be quite high because you would need to actually somehow obtain the feed for the matches. (I don't think the old guy with the awesome tartain at the Dickens would be that would be that intrested). Radio Leicester for me with the crazy Live chat gang

Yeah this is what I usually do, but it will piss me off something awful if I know there is a live game but I can't watch it. Surely there's some dodgy Asian feed of Sky? Does anyone know?
Daggers Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 You could always draw little blue players in the corner of a book and start flicking the pages. It's something I wish I'd done for the last couple of seasons instead of paying to go to the matches.
LCFCUSA Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 You can get access to most commentry through the Websites of the respected team you are playing.. hope this helps All the live commentry is blocked for users outside of the UK due to 'contractual rights'. There's just a message that repeats this over and over while the match is on. I was trying all season to get a streming radio feed but never found anything. As far as TV goes, as long as some tv station somewhere in the world carries the match, there is bound to be someone who will stream it. Not easy to find, but totally possible. If you do happen to come across anuthing, let us know.

Live commentary direct from BBC Radio is blocked, but you can access it if you subscribe to Leicester City World, or use one of the HTML links that float around on matchday. I agree - not impossible but hard to find!!
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 6 May 2008 Author Posted 6 May 2008 Could always ask the dickens to buy the rights This actually isn't as stupid as it sounds (except for asking them to pay for it ) - if we paid for it I reckon Ivo would be more than happy to beam it in. The cost is the issue though.

True but the thing is you would be paying so much for only a couple of games a year.

Yeah you can mate, Google Match console (uk only ssearch). i've used it all season best thing i ever got Shay Given me

I feel like I'm getting nickle and dimed to death just to follow the team I love, that's the only reason I haven't signed up for City World, besides the ammount of times I'm at work or sleeping while a match is on somewhat puts me off. I'll buy the shirts, order from the megastore and fly the flag for the team anytime, but fcuk me, I'm not paying for free radio. Is it just me or is there no fan service anymore?
LCFCUSA Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Yeah you can mate, Google Match console (uk only ssearch). i've used it all season best thing i ever got Shay Given me Good info. I'll look into that now. Also, this site seems to be pretty good for lower league streams.. http://www3.myp2p.eu/index.php?part=sports but again, it depends if someone is broadcasting it.. Cheers

Smiffy Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Looks credible If a match is televised on Sky or pretty much any station, it will be linked on that site. May sometimes be in Japanese and shite quality but its better than nothing. You need to make sure you download Sopcast and TVAnts.

Question is, do I turn down the sound and stream Barber?
Smiffy Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I have Sopcast, will get the other.Question is, do I turn down the sound and stream Barber? Probably not due to the fact that he wont be commentating next season. Plus, there would be a terrible lag between sound and picture. You can usually find English commentary.

Rich Fox Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I have Sopcast, will get the other.Question is, do I turn down the sound and stream Barber? Try tvu player that works better for me, you hav to download this like sopcast. click here this gives you the links to al the games.
Koke Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 You lot are nuts. Why would anyone wake up in the middle of the night to watch League One football.
LCFCUSA Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 You lot are nuts. Why would anyone wake up in the middle of the night to watch League One football. It's just another one of the the perks being a city fan. At least the games don't overlap any of the great sporting events we have here in the USA blah..
