lildave3 Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Yeah but whys that ?Money or the chance to put right his mistake. I think he's holding out for a massive payout and to be fair ... I would too. Be set up for life. Put right his mistake. Without a doubt.
ASH17LCFC Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Put right his mistake.Without a doubt. To be honest ... Asked the Plymouth fans and they will tell you the truth. The guy isn't stupid.
lildave3 Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 To be honest ... Asked the Plymouth fans and they will tell you the truth. The guy isn't stupid. I don't think he moved here for the money. He came here because he genuinely thought he stood a chance of being a premiership manager, and I can't blame him for taking that chance if I was a Plymouth fan.
iancognito Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 See, I'm split on this. Do we give Holloway a chance - 10 games or so - to put things right and get us on a roll or do we wipe the slate clean and give a new broom the chance to go wrong? We need to get off to a flyer or be unbeaten at least. Forest only scored 7 in their first ten but were unbeaten in that time and rarely set foot outside the top 6 all season thanks to that. If we give him another chance and he fu<ks it up, we lose any chance of getting momentum. If we get someone new in, we have to start from scratch and there are no guarantees the new man will do any better. And whilst I understand what Bruno's saying about winning the JPT being embarrassing, you play the hand you're dealt. Beat whatever is put in front of you. I, for one, would love to see us beating every side we can next season. Christ knows, the last 5 years have been bad enough that I'm willing to spend a season going back to basics, learning how to win, learning how to put 3 passes together and winning a Noddy Cup is part of all that.

But he fed them alot of crap and then when we came in for him said ... My heart wasn't at Plymouth then. This isn't the sort of guy you would like to take too war with ya.
davieG Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Anyone that say's give Holloway a chance and quantifies it by adding for 10 games, until Christmas etc is just perpetuating the instability they reckon they don't want, and demostrates your lack of confidence in him. Either you want him to stay or you don't anything else is worse than having a new manager from the off. There's liitle point in giving him a certain time you either have to have complete confidence in the guy to say you're the manager for the forseeable future or you go for a new manager you can believe in.

milkybarkid Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 I think the top so many conference teams get in, Woking beat Forest a couple of seasons ago
BigGibbo Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Does winning the Johnstones paint trophy get us in to Europe?
