just found out he's moved in next to my leicester home, might have to go persuade him to stay :D

So it could be a sign that he's staying :dunno:

There's no doubt in my mind that the nucleus of next year's side needs to be based around bringing youth team players through.

The loan players Holloway signed last season, Hendrie apart, disrupted the side and did not show the passion and more so quality that academy products Richard Stearman and Joe Mattock did.

We've definitely got players like James Wesolowski, Max Gradel, Andy King, Levi Porter, Ricky Sappleton, Louis Dodds and Ashley Chambers that deserve a chance in the first team.

If Mandaric employs the right man, with the tactical know how to get us out of this division and who can attract good quality and experienced players, then we may well have a promising squad.

then there's the added problem that a new manager will not know most of the firs 11 let alone our u-18 team, so while we sit raving of a Mr. Gradel the new manager might not give him a second look

In which case I'd doubt he'll be short of suitors, nor would he be slow to make his feelings known about being overlooked again. I doubt he's over thrilled about our being relegated anyway, having presumably signed his three-year contract on the basis of our beinbg a Championship club.

I just hope it's all sorted ASAP so who ever it is has plenty of time to have a good lok at our youngsters, see what areas we need a bit of experience and balance the team

Otherwise we'll end up with a month pre-season and they'll panic buy again, play favourites and completely neglect any bright talent, at least Holloway had his scouts out keeping tabs on Gradel (fishing rod at the ready)

I wouldn't read much into that. His family is local, his partner has a nipper and Leicester is much closer to more lines of communication than Lincoln. Does anyone on here think he'll get a regular place? Not from what I've read.

A new manager will doubtless have his own ideas about strikers and probably won't have a clue who Dodds is or any of our other aspiring youngsters.

That leaves Dodds in the unenviable position of trying to impress a manager who perhaps won't want to be impressed because, like Holloway, he's already got his own ideas and preferences.

Dodds, Gradel, Mattock, Weso, King, Sheehan and Beswick might well be the basis for a decent team in some fans eyes but in reality they could all end up as peripheral as they were under Holloway, those who stay around that is.

We're a club in a rush and that's been apparent since Mandaric first appeared on the scene before Kelly's departure. More haste, less speed is a phrase that's offered a warning for decades and is particularly appropriate to Leicester because they show no signs of wanting to build anything.

Mandaric doesn't love football he loves money and status. He doesn't have the patience for building and whatever he achieves will not be based on anything he's created in a football sense, just something he's bought.

In fact since Mandaric's arrival I'd say Stearman is the only Academy product who's notably improved as a result of what's happened here in the last 18 months or so. The rest have mostly been messed around so much they've done little more than tread water.

In fact, now I think of it, I can't think of many seniors who have performed above themselves either. Fulop maybe, but he was a loanee.

If anyone said that about me after 18 months at a club I'd be ashamed.
