Millwall away

Millwall aren't even that hard. They're just a load of gypo's who like to pretend they're hated by everyone, and feared.

They did a lovely job on my driveway though.

no you are not, just scared to go

No, we're scared of going to Nottingham more than anything in the whole wide world.

There's a walkway from the train station straight to the away end, and the coach park is next to the ground.

It's quite easy to avoid trouble there these days.

That along with the heavy police presence, can't see there being a lot of trouble.

I can't see any of the Millwall 'hooligans' wanting a fight with any Leicester fans.

We played them there a couple of years ago - stephen hughes scored the winner in a 1-0 win.... Was the birth of the kisnorbo chant!
Yeah we were talking about that the other day - remember the guy with a handbag in the millwall end? :D

Haha that was a good day all round..........but seriously what was the guy thinking with that bag?

As for the day itself, if you go on the train, the policing is good & there's sort of a caged walkway from bermondsey station to the away end of the ground so there's no chance for any trouble. Generally, wherever you go, you tend not to get any trouble unless you're looking for it & those that do go to make trouble tend not to bother with everyday fans so there's no need to worry

Clear any plans to what is happening on this fixture. I will come.

See if it's bad as people make out as it to be..or not :P

If it wasn't for Football Factory and Green Street it would probably be like any normal away day.

You get locked in for so long afterwards that there's no Millwall fans left in the area anyway. I think it was Monday morning when they finally let us out.

:D

This would be a great match to go to i think i would go alone tho as i seem to attract trouble and no one would wont to go with me.

This game doesn't actually excite me. :S

It's just another away game to me. What do other people think?

London away days are class!

Im ignorant why are London away games better than other away games???

Is it cos its easier to get to or is it cos there is more of a choice of watering holes maybe

Hmmmmm.....

I dont think London games are any different, treat them all the same after a few beers.... (although yes there is more pubs i suppose)

Although saying that, if i had a choice out of Millwall and Coventry, i would choose Millwall, i always feel like i need to shower when i come away from Cov, it is a right dive.... Last season i got some nasty nasty abuse hurled at me by kids and there chav dads, they even started on the missus....

Disgrace, we are always respectfull when we go to the games, she was terrified, and i am no Chuck Norris, i couldn't fight my way out of a paper bag....

Personally, I've never been on one of these great London away days with SUAS, Ched, LD3 etc. but I don't think they're any different.

You can have a few beers at which ever game you go to. :P

Agreed 100%

London is ok and i am sure you will get to go to many games in the future down that way.. But to me it makes no difference, give me a beer and i could be anywhere....

London away games are genius.

Train there - Plenty of beers - plenty of places to go & see pre-game and some great pubs. Also we generally get big turn outs for London games. (When I say we...I mean amoungst mates, not the whole away support).

Palace is the best by miles. Thats the worst part of being relegated, no palace away next season

Londons aways are by far the best. Train there and back, tube in between, casual stroll around and in my case a shop!

Even Chalton away was a top day this season despite being the worst City performance ever (and that says alot) no atmsophere and cvnts of stewards.

We were lucky with the amount of Londons we got last season Palace, Chelsea, Charlton, Watford etc.

Palce away FA cup 3rd round pleeaaaassseeee (if we get there!)

I love London away days personally!!

They're easy to get too, nice train journey with a few tinnies & a good bit of chat/banter plus the fact you're heading to the capital. There's loads of pubs to drink at, time to take in the sites & there's always loads of groups of supporters from other teams around so you can trade tales of woe on the tube etc & you get the feeling it's a real football day wherever you go.

Quite a few of the London grounds are quite oldschool as well which adds to the atmosphere when you get there & they're in the city, rather than out of town like a lot of the modern grounds. All in all, London away games just bring together everything that is still good about footy I find. :)

For the wooden seats or the nice chip shop near the ground?
