We were last time I think (In the Championship a few years ago...Our promotion season) which led us to banning them. Not sure about next season though

You get locked in for so long afterwards that there's no Millwall fans left in the area anyway. I think it was Monday morning when they finally let us out.

I remember when we went on fox travel and we hardly saw a single Millwall fan on the way in because the police blocked them from going down the streets the coach was planning on using. It was really surreal

It's not all its cracked up to be. Away fans are treated like terrorists. Loads of old fat ****ers in predictable, faux-hoodlum get-up tend to have a day out and stand around looking vaguely menacing whilst talking to their wives on their mobiles. Bermondsey is a real shit-hole in places, so a casual mooch around the local area is not recommended. Having said all that, I've been with City and as a neutral and I've never seen a whiff of real trouble at the New Den. The away end's ok. It's a bit of a bugger to get to by car. Everyone should go at least once, not least to debunk the myth that all Millwall fans are like Charles Bronson.

I never went to the original den but the new one really isn't a very initmidating day out. You come away thinking they deserve their reputation like rab douglas deserves 25 grand a week. Somewhere in south london a few middle-aged semi-retired hooligans from each side will probably have a bit of a row but you'll never see it.

I live about 20 minutes walk from the ground. Bermondsey certainly isn't the nicest area but it really isn't as bad as some people make out. I walk from South Bermondsey station to my house quite often at night and never have any trouble. Just got to keep an eye out and use your common sense.

If there is any trouble feel free to come to mine to hide and drink tea.

I remember getting herded to the ground like sheep, and being kept behind for 45 minuteas after the match. The actual atmosphere was terrible save for the birth of the Kisnorbo chant which must be the single longest sustained chant I've heard.
