Lovejoy Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Was told today at school that someone who I used to be mates with and played football with died last week of a blood related illness. He was 18! It's one of those situations where you really don't know what to say. I saw him about a month ago and he seemed fine. RIP
Guest Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Was told today at school that someone who I used to be mates with and played football with died last week of a blood related illness. He was 18!It's one of those situations where you really don't know what to say. I saw him about a month ago and he seemed fine. RIP One of my class mates had a heart attack at 18 and died. At that age, it's something that happens to old people!! By old, I mean old. Like 60+. It's a huge shock, I can imagine for all those involved. I hope you're ok, and my sympathies go out to those who knew the lad. May he RIP.
Stuliasz Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 It comes as such a shock. One of my best mates died at around that age of leukaemia and it takes a while to get your head round it. I suppose everyone thinks at that age, you are invincible and can't die but life is fragile and it really puts you into thinking mode for a fair while. My condolences to everyone connected with the chap.
Webbo Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Sorry to hear about your mate. It's always a shock when someone so young dies. I remember about 3 months after I left school a lad in my old form rode his push bike into the back of a bus and died of head injuries. It was quite a shock and it reminds you of your own mortality. Rip.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 When I was in Year 6 at Primary school, someone in my year died from a brain tumor! Its just too young RIP
Flynny Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 It's never nice when someone you know dies, but the younger they and you are the worse it seems. Imagining anyone my age or younger dying seems too horrific for words. Sorry for your mate, mate.
