SamL Posted 8 June 2008 Posted 8 June 2008 Won the match by an innings and nine runs. I always thought it was going to be hard enforcing the follow on due to the heavy workload on the bowlers but they did a fine job. Our bowling unit have shown that they now know how to close off a game when we're in a winning position which sometimes we haven't done. Some good bowling by Sidebottom this morning.
SemperEadem Posted 8 June 2008 Posted 8 June 2008 Oram gave Broad abit of a battering this morning But it was a great overall performance
C-man Posted 8 June 2008 Posted 8 June 2008 Oram gave Broad abit of a battering this morning But it was a great overall performance Broad really needs to add 7 or 8 mph to his speed. He's just not quick enough and it allows batsmen to get after him, especially on slow decks like Trent Bridge.

Ultra Posted 8 June 2008 Posted 8 June 2008 Still a lot of room for improvement. If Bell and Collingwood can't score runs against a modest Kiwi attack then how will they do so against South Africa? Broad has batted well in this series (especially at Old Trafford where he saved us from the follow-on and turned the tide of the series), but still lacks accuracy as a bowler. He'll make way for Flintoff later in the summer.
