Bert Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Would that be Fabio Cannavaro or Francesco Totti? Both, but i did mean Cannavaro. A big loss for Italy imo. Italy have some good attacking players that can just aobut make up for Tott's absence... But, when it comes to making up for Cannavaro, and the influence has on the team, that's a different matter.
Jonezy Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Have a horrible feeling Holland can't keep this up. But my, those counter attacks are a beauty to watch. When Robben and Snejder play like that, you can forgive them for playing for Real Madrid. Hopefully they will continue like this until they stand with the trophy, but I'm not too convinced.
Joe. Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 I couldn't watch the game tonight but just watched the highlights. That is outstanding from the Dutch yet again. Fantastic stuff.
Finchy Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Spain v Holland is going to be immense, GOALS GOALS GOALS! Snejder's goal tonight was orgasmic!
CKB Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Holland look damn good, but them keeping it up is another story!
Sods Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Unbelievable. Everythings going well for the Dutch. Great timing to put Robben and Van Persie on. Their playing without fear. Thought Ruuuuuuuud was quality.
Tilley Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Holland were very good. Ruud plays the one up front role to a tee, Robben was fantastic when he came on, him & Sneijder are frightening going forward. Glad Van Persie got on the score sheet too, shows they have alot on the bench and not just in the starting XI. They are a little fragile at the back but as one of the pundits said, their attidue is 'you score & we will outscore you.' Hope they can keep it up.
Uncle Albert Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Just watched the highlights, thank you for BBC Iplayer. All of Holland's goals were class last night and France's defending bloody hell.
Simi Posted 14 June 2008 Author Posted 14 June 2008 Just watched the highlights, thank you for BBC Iplayer. All of Holland's goals were class last night and France's defending bloody hell. Same. Absolutely devastating display from Holland. Their movement off the ball was something else and France couldn't match them anywhere on the pitch. How can you look past them now to win this? Phenominal.

They are easily the favourites now and should go on and win it. Hopefully Holland rest a few players and Romania can pick up a win and knock the French and Italians out.

I was one of the few that said right from the start that this is the netherlands year. I got back in from work just before france scored and couldn't believe that I was then treated to two goals in two minutes :w00t: Snejider's goal to finish off the game was superb, what a beauty
