shen Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Netherlands are unbelievable. I'm already drooling at a prospective matchup between Robben and Ronaldo in the knockout stages...
Finnegan Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Ronaldo and Robben can't meet til the final, can they? But after this it really is hard to imagine who's going to beat Holland.
Bryn Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Holland have to be admired. 1-0, they continue to attack. 2-0, they attack. 2-1, instant riposte, and they're still attacking at 3-1.
MC Prussian Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 What a game. This is what football is all about. Classy attacking moves by the Netherlands, a slow and overaged France simply outplayed. The Orange Invasion continues.
lildave3 Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 ****ing fantastic stuff. Finners, that's exactly why I love the man. Incredible. His goal was impossible. Sneijder's was class aswell. 7 goals in two games against the two world cup finalists two years ago, that is remarkable.
purpleronnie Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Its watching games like that makes me relieved england aren't there.
Maybes Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Its watching games like that makes me relieved england aren't there. Exactly. The french has been so England-esq in this tournament.
lildave3 Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Well, what happens now? Who does he pick for the Romania game? And will they 'throw' it?
Finnegan Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Its watching games like that makes me relieved england aren't there. :crylaugh:

Italy are missing their Main man. Still, fair play to the dutch.
dandannieldanok Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 What a superb game, glad I sat down and paid full attention to it. Holland are simply brilliant on the counter, pace and power, and you can't go wrong with Robben and Van Persie on the bench. I personally thought Wesley Sneijder was man of the match and fully deserved his goal, he's fast becoming one of my favourite players in the world. France played their part to, some really nice slick football, just lacked substance and a bit of passion/heart. It's a shame Ribery had to be on the losing side, his dribbling and constant probing completely showed up some of his other teammates.

Oh yeah I don't deny that. Portugal and Spain are looking very good aswell, still a long way from winning this. And knowing Holland, they'll go and bloody lose to Sweden anyway.
Fox You Forest Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Its watching games like that makes me relieved england aren't there. Lmao, I said the exact same thing to my mate after the third goal.
LeeCovFox Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 You watch the dutch fizzle out Maybes' tip. Wouldn't be the first time. At the last world cup people were piling on for the Spanish and the Argentinians after the early stages. But if they keep this up I will be more than happy for them to go on and win. After a poor start this tournament is looking like it will be a cracker.
LE8Blue Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Anyone know the name of the song played when a team scored ??

Whatever it was it seemed to help the atmosphere and I quite enjoyed it, and I'm not usually a fan of music after goals.

Maybes Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Whatever it was it seemed to help the atmosphere and I quite enjoyed it, and I'm not usually a fan of music after goals. Its the one Norwich used to play after they scored.
