City Lad Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 Just read that 'over 12 million people will watch tonights episode'. I will be one of those, the past few episodes have been very good. Anyone on here going to as well?
MikeyT Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 Just read that 'over 12 million people will watch tonights episode'. I will be one of those, the past few episodes have been very good. Anyone on here going to as well? Nope dont like the new Doctor Who. Bring back the old ones!
the_bowman Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 I'll be watching, and wondering who the new doctor is going to be. Alan Davies is in the running apparently, I think he'd actually make a good doctor.
FleckneyFox Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 Apart from the last 2 episodes this series has been shite. But i'll be watching!
DBEightyFive Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 I will be watching. Haven't missed an episode yet.
stez Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 i'll be watching it tomorrow of sky freeview+ so don't go posting blatent spoilers, without shrowding them in spoiler stuff this you've been warned
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 It's on - but i haven't a clue what's going on. It sounds funny, just from the fact i hear my mrs laughing every 5 minutes. Might go for a fag even though it is raining!
FleckneyFox Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 Good episode, but NOTHING HAPPENED!, bit of a let down
Daggers Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 I enjoyed that; Some cracking humour, nice wind up to the end of Davies' time at the helm. The kids were transfixed and we had to stop it about seven times because they were asking some outstanding physics-based questions. TV doesn't get any better than this - when it entertains a whole family and causes little kids to think while they're enjoying it. A shame that there's no series coming in 2009 - just a couple of specials. 2010 seems a long way.
the_bowman Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 It was a good episode I thought, good balance of drama and comedy, although I thought it was getting a little too serious rather than "woo woo let's go meet some aliens, tlak with them, get caught and escape and save some people", things are getting on too large a scale. Still, the new episodes remain to be seen
Nationwider Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 I'm slightly emabarrassed to say the last episode of Doctor Who that I watched had Sylvester McCoy in it. I've missed the boat with this. Pity as it sounds dead good.
Flynny Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 Best bit by a mile was Jack's line. I love stuff like that dropped into a "family show".
Hullfox Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 TV doesn't get any better than this - when it entertains a whole family and causes little kids to think while they're enjoying it. Spot on.
craigadams22 Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 There's no new Doctor, I thought there wouldn't be anyway. He's done this year's Christmas Special & Four More Special's for next year - David Tennant. & The BBC have offered him a huge £100,000 per Episode to stay on for Series Five of Doctor Who, I loved last night's Episode. I watched it 1am on BBC I Player, Because I was out all day yesterday around Hinckley.. The Music to Doctor Who is fantasic, Well done Murray Gold & Ben Foster the composer's. Kind Regards Craig Adams
Flynny Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 About the music, I must say I thought that very last scene would have been much more powerful with none whatsoever.
stez Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 wow! what an episode, i thought it was going to be a bit twee (last weeks was) but it was great. being a big fan of the arthurian stories, i'm looking forward to 'merlin' too
