Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 July 2008 Posted 20 July 2008 Same place? I don't get it. My old road atlas says Quorndon but it's Quorn, right? Did it shorten its name to appeal to vegetarian tourists? Cos I tell you, it's working. Don't worry, I'm coming (on Thursday).
AmericanScott Posted 20 July 2008 Posted 20 July 2008 Quorn is a village in Leicestershire, England. Its name was shortened from Quorndon in 1889, to avoid postal difficulties owing to its similarity to the name of another village, Quarndon, a few miles away. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quorn%2C_Leicestershire

Tevez Posted 20 July 2008 Posted 20 July 2008 To be fair, Quorn is where we go college and the only decent place is Bianca's which overcharges for a Garlic Bread Supreme. Also Tommeh lives there so it's hardly good BOG ROLL FOR QUORN!
Guest Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 It really is a bit of a Quornundrum. I'll fetch your coat........
Simi Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 I'll fetch your coat........ What?! That's pure gold... Yeah, please do.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 Boo, Rawlins, boooooo. I nearly went there because my brother had gone there before the catchment area changed, and he'd done alright. I wanted to stay with my mates and ended up going to Longslade, and did better than him anyway. He now earns half as much again as I do, so I think he wins overall
