SamL Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 Going to Palace, but got looking on here and charity shield tickets are on open sale now......not a bad price if you can stand the Mancs! Manchester United v Portsmouth – FA Community Shield - Wembley StadiumManchester United will play Portsmouth in the FA Community Shield at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 10 August, kick off 3pm. We have received an allocation of approximately 27,000 tickets priced £15, £20, £30, £40. For Wembley, the prices aren't actually that bad although I think I'd rather go to Crystal Palace if I'm honest.
Simi Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 Says a lot about Wembley when the Man U and Chelsea fans don't want to go back.

lildave3 Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Well no, it says more about the fact that no one cares about the Charity Shield. Bingo bango. Has it always been treated as a friendly? With as many subs as you like?
Simi Posted 1 August 2008 Posted 1 August 2008 Well no, it says more about the fact that no one cares about the Charity Shield. I disagree, I'm sure if my club was playing at Wembley, I'd be there. From what I've read about United fans experience of Wembley, and Chelsea's it seems that they weren't that impressed/prepared to pay astronomical prices.
Ultra Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Both sides have been several times already. So it's not surprising that the novelty has worn off.
