Where is CSKA (1954-1966) ? Twelve times Bulgarian Champion, 1/2 for the Cup of European Champions against Milan,Bulgaria(with 10 players from CSKA and manager from CSKA) was 3th on Olympic Games...

I went with the Real Madrid 1956-1960 team, they won everything there was to win and plus that 7-3 game at glasgow.

I think they won 5 European cup plus had Puskas and Stefano.

Red Star of '91 had Dragan Stojkovic, Dejan Savicevic and the young Sinisa Mihajlovic.

The team then was the best team in Europe at the team. At Euro '92, they were sanctioned and there replacements Denmark - who they knocked out won the tournament.

How you can say that is beyond me...

I'm not a Man Utd fan but their Treble winning team should be a option just for the fact no one else has ever done it.

How can Man Utd NOT be included? :o

At least FOUR of their sides (the Busby Babes, the 1968 team, the treble-winners and the current team) are legitimate contenders for this, certainly as much as the scum.

And the Celtic 1967 side, which won EVERY competition it entered that season, deserves recognition too.

Taking all into account, it's a shit poll.

My best 10 are: Juventus 1996, Milan 1989-1990, Ajax 1995, Ajax 1971-1973, Real Madrid 1956-1960, Liverpool 1977-1978, Santos 1962-1963, Inter 1964-1965, Benfica 1961-1962, and Bayern Munich 2001.

That's a very selective and biased choice.

I don't know enough (and neither I suspect do most of this forum) about South American football to compare the sides they have produced with the best in Europe.

However I'll give a list of the best European sides seen during my lifetime (ie since 1963), based on their success in both the European Cup and their own domestic leagues during these times.

1. Internazionale 1964-66

2. Celtic 1967-70

3. Ajax 1971-1973

4. Bayern Munich 1974-76

5. Liverpool 1977-84

6. Juventus 1982-85

7. Milan 1988-90

8. Manchester United 1999-2001

9. Real Madrid 2000-2002

10. Barcelona 2004-2006

I detest ManUre but I think the 68 european cup final team deserve a mention.

MANCHESTER UNITED: Stepney, Dunne, Foulkes, Stiles, Brennan, Sadler, Crerand, Charlton, Best,

Kidd, Aston

I can't see how Manchester of 99' has place in such a list. they were lucky and haven't play a very good Football. they weren't dominant as any of those teams listed.

Some sort of sick joke right? Any team who can achieve a treble are one of the best teams in history.

And if Yanited arent in there, how can Bayern Munich 2001 be in there?

what a bizarre set of results so far I mean how can people vote for the Torino team of the 40's or the river plate team of the 1940's as the best teams ever!!

I don't imagine many people can tell me much about either without hitting google big style yet between them seem to have 12 votes???? crazy stuff
