The Reverend Posted 6 August 2008 Posted 6 August 2008 Not sure a team that reaches a european final and another with one of the best champion league home records around are 'ordinary' quite an achievement for such a small country i feel. They played probably 2 maybe 3 good teams in the competition - Zenit and Fiorentina. Fiorentina pissed all over them in the second game and typically lost on penalties, and Zenit outplayed them in every department in the final. I would possible add Bremen to those teams, but they are nowhere near the force they were a few years ago. Dont get me wrong Rangers did well to get to the final, but it was more to do with luck than genuine quality in my opinion. They got a decent draw, were lucky against Fiorentina and ultimately met the best team in the competition (well, certainly one of the best).

I remember him as the man who took Leicester up 1980 and also the semi final of the FA cup against Spurs could you do that???
