Phube Posted 26 August 2008 Share Posted 26 August 2008 I like the sound of that. I need to ask you a question about Pro Evo though. When is it released on the Wii? Will it be considerably later than on the PS2/3 XBOX360? Errrmm... 2008 Pro-Evo is out now. The next Pro-Evo for the Wii (the one coming out for 360/PS3 soonish) will be out in early 2009. PES 2009 (360/PS3) Video We're going to buy one between the three of us in our house when we've handed our dissertations in (on teh 11th). Games will include Mario Kart, Tiger Woods, Super Mario Galaxy and Wario Ware. I don't care for serious games.
AmericanScott Posted 27 August 2008 Share Posted 27 August 2008 I got a Wii a couple of weeks ago and to be honest, i'm blown away by how amazing this system is! I've got Mario Galaxy, Paper Mario, Zelda, Red Steel and FIFA08. Just got my USB connector thing to go online and purchased some old NES games. Anyone looking to get one of these bad boys, do it! See, I didn't really like Smash Bros on the Game Cube. Could be more enjoyable on the Wii though. Is there lots of arm flailing involved?

Unless you chose your Avatar for other reasons ( ) I assume you like Megaman games. The good news for you is that Megaman 9 will be a WiiWare title... done in the exact same style as the old NES games (i.e. you avatar!)
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 August 2008 Share Posted 27 August 2008 As for those titles just mentioned, what else is there worth getting on the system? I tell you, not a lot. Possibly Mario Kart, Wii Fit (if you can find it) but that's it. The Wii software market is flooded with rubbish. It's a shame. Games developers bring out tosh because it's a fast and cheap system to develop for. What the Wii does well is in all the retro downloads and backwards compatability of the system - like MGS Twin Snakes for the Gamecube which just has to be played through following the brilliance that is MGS4. But nothing cutting edge. Just a fancy control system that doesn't offer an awful lot.
