Stuliasz Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 You may or may not remember but a while ago, I ran a web site that gathered all of your player ratings from each match. Well its back and when fully developed will be better than ever. There are many features which I'm looking to implement as I get the time but for now, please submit your ratings for the MK Dons match to www.player-ratings.com/rate. Voting closes Monday evening and I'll post up the results. Cheers Sheff. (Mod please sticky)
Stuliasz Posted 9 August 2008 Author Posted 9 August 2008 If we could use this thread too for suggestions as to what you would like to see on the site too...I have had a few ideas myself that I am going to implement if and when I get the time such as rating the manager, the ref, the opposition and providing analysis on each game including a fans man of the match and hopefully the ability to assess your own ratings against everyone elses. So any ideas you may have, let me know.
dandannieldanok Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 If we could use this thread too for suggestions Sorry in advance if I'm being ignorant as to what the capabilities of the site are, but could there be any facility to show live average ratings?
Webbo Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 There are no half points so I've had to round up, but that's just a minor quibble. Good work mate.
Stuliasz Posted 9 August 2008 Author Posted 9 August 2008 Sorry in advance if I'm being ignorant as to what the capabilities of the site are, but could there be any facility to show live average ratings? It could definitely be organized. I think it would have to be shown after the person has voted as I wouldn't want it skewing people's own opinions. Also it may detract from the surprise of knowing who is going to win man of the match but then thats up to personal preference so I'd probably get a few opinions from other people on here before implementing such a feature. There are no half points so I've had to round up, but that's just a minor quibble. Good work mate. It was originally set up with half points but it caused a small bug in the system. Once I figured out how to get around it, I will bring the half points back
DB11 Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 I like the system but could do with a bit more lively colours
Stuliasz Posted 10 August 2008 Author Posted 10 August 2008 I like the system but could do with a bit more lively colours The site is under development at the moment DB11. Everything that is up there now is just temporary until the full site is ready to go up. Its difficult to put a timescale on when that will be at the moment but I'm working on it.
James. Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Thanks for your work on this. Admittedly you did ruin my spreadsheet dreams but I'll forgive you because I think the results of these ratings will be very useful and interesting.

Ah sorry mate, believe me its a time consuming process when spreadsheets are involved. That's why I had to give it up last time as I didn't have the time to create a fully fledged dynamic site and I didn't have time to maintain the existing one. It's a close run thing for this match anyway so get your votes in before voting shuts tomorrow evening.

dandannieldanok Posted 11 August 2008 Posted 11 August 2008 Is there any facility to prevent someone from voting twice, in case some idiot decides to try and ruin the votes, luckily it doesn't look like it has happened this time around.
