Nod.E Posted 20 August 2008 Author Posted 20 August 2008 When the exact same thing happened to me, I broke my leg,Be in a cast for 3 months, then you'll realise a dead leg is not an injury. Not a bad one, I know. Hurts for about a week though. A week i'd rather not be limping around in. I've had an 'injury' before though. Really not a fan of them. Dislocated elbow. Out for 4 months. Add about 2 months for fitness. And then a year of practice to get back to usual. My right hand side is still my weak side because of that arm. I got bored of them real injuries. I tend to get annoying little dead legs and such these days
morris1234 Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 take some pain killers, rest it in general but lightly try and walk on it, apply some deep heat spray or gel to he back of your leg! you could even have a bit more sleep as this might help. dont use R.I.C.E as compression and ice is a bad idea. but more like R.E (not religious education ) just rest it and if youre sitting down then rest your leg on something but make it so your leg is higher than your heart! this may slightly go numb it might not (dont do it for too long) but it should help the swelling!! sounds like a lot for a dead leg but if it stops you playing then its a bad thing! just like this ref once who wouldnt let me play with my arm cast on, i was there and knew what i was doing but still didnt let me play the nob head! hope this helped!!

Thanks for that, as I was considering icing and compressing, won't do now. Dead leg. I've got a 'Grade 2 dead leg' Some info.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Run it off! Heavily strap your ankle. You will be fine.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 R.I.C.E won't work. 4 Cocodamol, deep heat, enough vodka to fuel a small Siberian town and a pizza. That will fix everything. And thats suppose to help? That sounds like the concoction that killed Jim Morrison.
Tabou Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 And thats suppose to help? That sounds like the concoction that killed Jim Morrison. It also sounds like my planned sex game for this evening. Is Mabs out tomorrow?
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 It also sounds like my planned sex game for this evening. Is Mabs out tomorrow? Nope, Mabs is not, Mabs is being made redundant soon and needs every PabloPenny he can get his hands on. Might be down next Home game as it will be the last one I can afford for awhile
