Injury advice for game.

On Sunday I got a dead leg in a sliding challenge and it's still there today.

I've been limping on it which has resulted in a very swollen ankle.

So i'm limping around like a cripple.

Any advice on what I can do to be fit for a match on Thursday?

Or is there no chance I'll make it?

Baring in mind i'm only a keeper and it's my left foot and i'm right footed.

cheers.

Rest it until the day. If there's still any pain and swelling come the day of the game, don't play. Keep your coach informed as well.

Are you Sileby Aths keeper ? If so just play , you wont have much to do considering our pre season form

Rest. Ice. Compression. Elevation.

I still have some GCSE knowledge.

You clearly haven't had enough alcohol yet.

Where there's blame there's a claim - it's the 21st century.

Ouch, I just hurt my finger typing that...I hope Mark has some pretty damn good insurance.

A dead leg?

Yes. Caused in contact sport when usually the knee collides with the thigh. Can last days or weeks and if you treat it badly it can develope into this weird thing that has a long name and you have to have an operation.

My main worry is my ankle from the limping, though. <_<

R.I.C.E won't work.

4 Cocodamol, deep heat, enough vodka to fuel a small Siberian town and a pizza.

That will fix everything.

Truth.

Get some cocodamol down your neck. You won't feel a bleedin' thing.

Please don't mistake cocodamol for cocopops.

You won't achieve the same pain relieving effects.

I want some chicken and lemon herby crispysssss.

Your a keeper and your slide tackling :giggle:

Did you win?

lol

Through ball just outside the area, their player was running onto it. I won the f*ucker and he slid on me anyway, the cnut.

Yeah, won 3-1. Their goal was a penalty from a 'handball' >_<

I played the rest of the game fine, then I got in the car back and the pain kicked in. Diving around on it probably didn't help.

But I've woke up this morning, it's still a little stiff and my ankle a little weak, but the limp has gone! Woop woop, bring on Thursday.

When the exact same thing happened to me, I broke my leg,

Be in a cast for 3 months, then you'll realise a dead leg is not an injury.:P
