Premier League winners and Champions of Europe. Good one. Barry is very overated and is made to look better than he is because he is the best player in an ordinary squad. He may well of played well with England but what did England achieve? They all acheived a long summer away with their families instead of being at Euro 2008. I just feel that Barry has been consistently better than Carrick for many years now. And if Villa are an ordinary squad, playing neat, attractive football, scoring goals and playing with scintillating pace, then fook me. In those two games England managed to look like a team that gave a shit and had the drive and passion to play for their country. More importantly, they dominated Russia, no easy feat, as was proven by their performance at Euro 2008. Unfortunately it was too little too late.

I'm pretty certain that had Barry moved to Liverpool his list of honours would soon be just as prestigious as Carrick's.
