Pearson shackled Gradel as far as I could see. He just ran one furrow down one flank and didn't appear to have licence to move elsewhere at all.

Even George Best would have had trouble coping with that situation. But then no-one shackled George Best.

Even though we've won 4-0, it does seem odd Pearson playing Dickov on the wing.

I think Thracian you sometimes make some very good points but why do you constantly back Porter?? I think we have the best squad by far in Division 1 but the only weak player is Porter, can you not see he will never make it as a player at this level or higher!!! I was right about the Fryatt v Dodds argument and will enjoy winning my bet with you next year and i will be proven right here too, im no expert but i know when a player will never make the grade and Levi Porter is one of those players. Im sure he is a great lad and i would love him to do well but he simply isnt good enough!!

I back Porter because he's a quality player and has shown as much on many occasions.

As for our bet it might be prudent not to gloat before the season is over because there's no such thing as a certainty.

Yes, I'll be delighted to buy you a pint if Fryatt continues to score for fun but I'd remind you that the Dodds/Fryatt bet went my way last season and, while Dodds is again playing midfield and doesn't have anything like the supply lines that will benefit Fryatt this season, his one goal and two assists is nothing to be ashamed of so far, even if he does have some catching up to do.

We have 4 very good wing players ( adams, dyer, porter and maxi ), and he isn't good enough to start up front.

People are too fickle, yes he may score a few goals, but he will also be remembered for la manga

Wasn't all the 'La Manga' scenario proven 'Not Guilty' as it turned out to be hookers that were out too set up our players? If I remember right I read that the girls involved had previous convictions for blackmailing and stealing from rich Arabs and the like.

I personally think that Dickov shouldn't be played right wing though.
