fox123 Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 World domination it seems, the Internet has completely revolutionised the way we think, act, talk, communicate....but is it really for the good!? 15-20 years ago it was just talk, Amiga's were a hit, Sony Mega drive's were what Playstation 3's are today, kids were out playing on their bikes, down the local park playing man hunt or wall-e....getting groups of friends together to play doubles on the local and closest field....headers and volleys, family's having bbq's get togethers, cinemas thriving, down the town at christmas to watch Santa Clause climb down Lewis's whilst eating chestnuts....enjoying quality time with friends. What do you think you would be doing now to entertain yourselves, if the internet wasn't invented!?

Darkzzz_ Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 The Internet is the reason I will not get married.
Teeno Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 Although I use the net a fair bit, I think it's one of the worst things to happen to this country in years with computors consols. I think its gonna have a massive effect on the kids of today, no social skills, health problems, eye problems etc. One of the worst thing about it is it's addictive, kids on school holidays never seem to be on the streets playing. The likelyhood is there inside playing on their pc's/computer games. School holidays when I was younger (and I'm only talking ten years back) I would be outside with me mates from 9am till 7pm every day of the week. Football, poddy, bikes, roller blades, curby, you name it we did it. I think football clubs around the country will feel the impact aswell, sport is going to become boring. Kids will be rushing home to play on their latest computers/pc's etc and not bothering with after school football and other sports. Grrr, this subject really bugs me. If it wasn't for the pc I'd probably wouldn't have the wastline I have now .

Tilley Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 The internet is the reason so many law-abiding citizens break the law. Fact.
