Alexikokopops Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Anyway watching? 23 minutes in and it's 2-0 P'boro. They've remembered how to score goals.
Matt Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 2-1. Its quite interesting to watch another League One game that doesn't involve Leicester. Compare how these two teams are playing to Leicester. This is a poor game, Is this what most League One games are like? If so we really should piss the league (Something I didn't want to think or say) before the season I thought we'd find it harder than most people imagined, and to some extent I still do but if this is the standard. However thinking about it Peterborough are a newly promoted team (Bearing in mind they were in the top 5 favorites?) and Bristol Rovers who were 5(?) points of relegation last season. By the way Peterborough atmosphere makes the Walkers atmosphere look amazing!
Matt Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Arron McLean off injured, Looks like a arm/shoulder injury being stretchered off and straight into an ambulance. He's scored today, He scored 1 before that this season, but Peterborough really were taking this piss pricing him at 5 Million me thinks.
Simi Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 What a ****ing game. 5-4 with 5 mins left. Better than Villa vs Liverpool.
whitlock Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Bloody wicked game. Defending from both sides has been poor. P'boro look good going forward though. 9 goals, hoping for the 10th one soon!

Dislocated elbow they say. 5-4, there's more goals in this yet!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 I always wondered why it took a League Club so long to take a punt on the White Pele. How's he been playing?
foss1884 Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Did i hear the faint hint of the "Ring of Fire" at London Road at the end, although it was overtaken more by clapping. Have we stolen it from them or have they cottoned on to us?

foss1884 Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Wolves did it long before we did. I've no idea how many clubs actually do it. Really? That is news to me? W.W.F.C must be a bit of a mouthfull to chant inbetween! I am sure many clubs do it, it was just that it was the first time i heard another club's supporters chanting it. Mind you, when the MK Dons fans said they were impressed by our version of it at The Walkers, it gave me the impression that it was unheard of in the lower divisions.
act smiley Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Started with Liverpool quite some time ago didn't it?
Floating Fox Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Started with Liverpool quite some time ago didn't it? Yeah Liverpool has always been the main Ring Of Fire team, but loads of smaller clubs sing it as well. Not many of them put the LCFC in the middle like we do.

Wolves used to have it on before ko at Molineaux and as their goal music but they never really sing it constantly like we do. Liverpool obviously started it about 4 years ago now. Pretty sure we're the 1st to do the L.C.F.C bit and I'm sure we won't be the last, Derby were doing it in the CC v Lincoln, with DCFC and only went on for about a minute, sounded shite and thats not me being biased agiainst them!
Ric Flair Posted 10 September 2008 Posted 10 September 2008 I always wondered why it took a League Club so long to take a punt on the White Pele. How's he been playing? Sergio Torres? Poked his nose in a few times. Other than that, didn't think he did a lot.
