Why did the bloke lamp him, was there a reason, I mean nobody pays to go to a gig and then to try and lamp on of the band members?????

lol

This crossed my mind also.

Bizzare.

So he is probably loooking at £25 to push him over, money well spent or not?

Ever been to Canada? They aren't the brightest.

if you listen to the crowd afterwards (laughing, cheering and clapping) it sounds like a lot of people there would have done the same thing

headliners or not, i'd be interested to know if oasis have the same degree of success in canada as in england?

as the koko-man said, this was at a festival, no doubt there were plenty of people still there thinking 'what is this dated mediocre horse-shit? this singer really wants to be ian brown!'*

i'm just fcking with these guys, now :giggle:

Yeah, it was at the Canadian version of V Festival so the guy probably didn't pay to specifically go and see Oasis.

unlike a lot of people on here i'm not so arrogant to criticize without provide being prepared to be criticized back...

am i allowed to criticise? people come to view my work 3 or 4 times a week, it's like offsted, without the neurotic teachers.

noel isn't the one id have pushed over, i quite enjoy his miserable old man ramblings these days

i don't recognise your pseudonym, but you're a mod so you probably criticize a lot :P , but, no, according to babylon. we shouldn't criticize anything or anyone, apparently there is no room on this forum for disagreement :crylaugh:

i'd actually have shoved andy bell*, for selling out and playing a bass when he is a better guitarist than noel ;)

* or has he been asked to leave too....

Quality lol The security were lightning quick to get him though...

Also, anybody remember this: :giggle:

Properly 'lightening quick' security would've stopped him before he managed to lamp someone.

still looked like rock city, sizewise...

yeah, cause i'm, like, so, the most negative poster on this forum <_< - perhaps, it's just to compensate for the (often) mindless worshipping of a very average band that have been spoilt with marketing and resources, to be honest it's no worse than someone criticizing chelsea.

and if i can't be critical of oasis (like most of the posts in this thread) in a thread about someone pushing noel off stage, where can i be critical...

oh, and i like the beach boys, they play oldies, but then they are in their 60s and have recorded about 40 albums of (groundbreaking) music to chose from...

not liking oasis hardly sends me up my own arse; you really have no idea what you are speaking of, look at my posts in the music forum and you'll see my tastes are eclectic and welcoming...

and if you were smart enough to click on the link in my sig, you would find some old songs of mine - as i said in a previous thread, unlike a lot of people on here i'm not so arrogant to criticize without provide being prepared to be criticized back...

and before you come back saying i'm not as good as oasis and that i should shut up  bare in mind that the budget for these songs was zero pence, and were done on a home computer, but at least i have tried to mix styles and try different things; and that, regarding oasis, is the crux of my complaint...

Coach trip is a fantastic tune , Five or so years is another tune . Enjoyed working through that lot

Don't like people slating your music ? Still you sit here and slate oasis work

Its easy to slate Oasis because there the best, you write 2 of the greatest albums ever before you start slagging Oasis off.

You write b-sides and then make a album out of them, which sells millions and then you can call Noel.

Have you switched allegiances from Arsenal to Chelsea then ASH17LCFC?

Chelsea are top so yes for now but Arsenal have made me look stupid so far this season.

oh dear, you silly little twit... when did you actually slate my music, you're a bit thick, aren't you...apart from the fact that you refer to me (i already suggested i was just 'me' in a previous post) as 'they', and then all you say is that you can see how 'we' didn't make it and oasis did - how is that slagging off my music, my response was simply to suggest that if that was all you had to say, it was a pretty poor effort...

and i'm not 'slating' oasis' work, that would be just posting 'oasis are crap' without determining why i feel that way, i have said that i find oasis very frustrating as they had (have) the opportunity to do great things and, so often, just played to the lowest common denominator... boyzone, i will slate, oasis i analyize and try to understand, this latest song i think is very weak, but even this i have observed some qualities to it...

of course i don't like people slating my music, it's very personal to me, i put a lot of thought in to it, i try to challenge myself to get new sounds and experiences;

i put my music out there and people can say what they like - sadly, all you did was exactly what i expected someone of your mentality to do, which i actually even suggested you would do, ie simply compare my work with oasis.

if you don't appreciate what i do - tell me why, don't just say 'uh, you're not as good as oasis', my demo's were done in midi on a home computer, in my spare time, i didn't have producers, session musicians, expensive mastering suites, and the best engineers in the world...

your response to my music, was the sort of silly, aimless rubbish that everyoone expects from you, no wonder you like oasis - you are incapable of validating any of your opinions: criticise all you like, little man, but manage something better than 'you're shit' or 'because it is'----

bland music, for a bland person

I listened to the first two of your songs last night Valerenga, not bad, i'll give the restof them a listen fo' sho'.

You get marked down though for using Rob Kellys phrase 'As honest as the day is long' in one of them though :P

thanks, i mean these are from when i was just starting to use midi, so they're a bit over the top in places, productionwise...

didn't realise i was quoting kelly <_< ...but i like that line: 'she's honest as the day is long, it is midsummers day' ie. the longest day, can you be more honest than that?

glad you liked anyway, and thanks for taking the time to listen, i'd love to be able to host more recent stuff, but i have a mixing/mastering/recording vocals backlog, and i don't have any of my electronic stuff up anywhere (sorry James.)

I respect your opinions on Oasis, Val.

That is your opinion.

I am huge fan regardless.

Anyway, I have been listening to a few of your tracks on the myspace page.

I too am very honest when it comes to music, My favourite track, which I really do like is "Weary Women"

Good stuff.

thanks ND, that is actually one from when i was in a band c.1994, me singing and i co-wrote it, but not bad considering it was recorded and mixed in 4 hours...

you know, re: oasis, i do put thought into my posts, so it's nice when people actually understand that i'm just telling it how i see it, that my opinion can be interesting even if it differs, to be honest others have been as critical without being as considered in their reasoning.

being in a band in the 90s wasn't much fun at times, there really weren't that many guitar bands making it, and those that did were just carbon copies of those that had made it, some of which weren't actually that bad - but when you had the diversity and musicality of blur, and the glamour and atmosphere of pulp, oasis (at least to me) were a bit drab, you know, just cock-rock,...

That is impressive.

It is a good track.

I know what you mean in regard to people not really thinking before they post, I have had that a lot on here.

It is all a matter of opinion and what you might not like, Other people will and vice versa.

I love my music, but it is very nice to hear music from people like yourself. I take my hat off to people that have a go and do there own thing.
