dandannieldanok Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Westwood & Garcia dropped. Controversial! Hopefully it pays off, cus he's setting himself up if it doesn't work out. Very surprising, especially considering he's kept Jimenez in who was one of Europe's most disappointing performers yesterday.
dandannieldanok Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Poulter and Rose have started well again. Poulter is proving to be a good pick from Faldo so far.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Well done Poulter and Rose. Jimanez and McDowell played pretty well but are now letting it slip to Leonard and Mahan. If Stenson and Wilson can hold on to the win then thats a brilliant performance. Harrington has been pretty poor in his round.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Stenson and Wilson have beat Mickleson and Kim. Jimanez and McDowell need to win the last hole now to take a tie. Tonights fourballs should be good.
The Reverend Posted 20 September 2008 Author Posted 20 September 2008 Well, 7-5 after the days foursomes, i think we've done reasonably well. If we can win 3 of the fourballs, then we have a good chance going into tomorrow. I think if we are any more than 3 or 4 behind after the fourballs, we're screwed.

dandannieldanok Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Good session that from Europe, 2.5 to 1.5. The fourballs look promising too, Poulter and McDowell who have been our star performers are together and Garcia and Casey should beat Stricker and Curtis who were poor yesterday. As long as we don't come out of this session any worse than 2-2 then I reckon Europe can take it tomorrow.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Weekley/Holmes v Westwood/Hansen Curtis/Stricker v Garcia/Casey Perry/Furyk v Poulter/McDowell Mickelson/Mahan v Stenson/Karlsson Just found them out. Second group looks like it could be a classic. Hope Poulter can produce some class golf again.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Westwood & Garcia dropped. Controversial! Hopefully it pays off, cus he's setting himself up if it doesn't work out. Not really, everyone seems to think he's a tw*t regardless of what he does!
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Is Europe starting to make a move now - come on guys! (I wish either my missus had sky, or I had the balls to go round to my parents and take over the TV viewing!)
Ultra Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 US ahead at the moment, but there isn't much in any of the games. They could all go either way.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 US ahead at the moment, but there isn't much in any of the games. They could all go either way. Hows Serg doing?
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Anyone know of a free internet feed?

dandannieldanok Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Hows Serg doing? Reasonably well, playing better than his partner Casey and they are level with Curtis and Stricker atm.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Reasonably well, playing better than his partner Casey and they are level with Curtis and Stricker atm. I'm watching it now mate. Thanks to your link. Been impressed tonight with some of the iron play in and around the greens. Casey will shine in the singles, doesnt seem to adapt well to playing with a partner. Monty must be feeling like an idiot questioning Faldo on picking Poults.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Weekly and Homes have beat Westwood and Hansen.
Fox You Forest Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 It's this way it's that way. Love the way matches swing from one team to the other.

Although I'm grateful for the link - I'm watching while listening to five live commentary and notice they keep putting up the wrong player captions!
Fox You Forest Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Good put by Poulter, He's never convinced me though.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 What a put by Steve Stricker. Pressure moment and he delivered. Fairplay. 8.5 to 5.5
