Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Big shot this. Miss I have switched over now. Whats happened mate?
Fox You Forest Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Furyk had a shot to sneak a half on the last hole he missed. Looks like Europe will get the point now.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Furyk had a shot to sneak a half on the last hole he missed. Looks like Europe will get the point now. Yes! When Furyk halved the hole on the last hole I was pissed off. Poulter and McDowell deserve it.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 I heard Poults is dedicating that winning put to Monty and Darren Clarke.
Fox You Forest Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 I heard Poults is dedicating that winning put to Monty and Darren Clarke. We have a chance to sneak the last match.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 We have a chance to sneak the last match. Mickleson not played a bad chip in the last three rounds plays 2 bad ones in 2 shots.
Fox You Forest Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Should be very interesting tomorrow.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Should be very interesting tomorrow. Yep. Some of the Europe players need to pull their fingers out tomorrow. Should be a long, nervous and brilliant night tomorrow. I cant wait.
dandannieldanok Posted 21 September 2008 Posted 21 September 2008 9-7 is actually not bad at all for Europe, the singles are going to be so good tonight, can't wait. My Predictions (Winners in bold, both bold for all square): Anthony Kim v Sergio Garcia Hunter Mahan v Paul Casey Justin Leonard v Robert Karlsson Phil Mickelson v Justin Rose Kenny Perry v Henrik Stenson Boo Weekley v Oliver Wilson JB Holmes v Soren Hansen Jim Furyk v Miguel Angel Jimenez Stewart Cink v Graeme McDowell Steve Stricker v Ian Poulter Ben Curtis v Lee Westwood Chad Campbell v Padraig Harrington If my maths are correct that would be 6 points a piece, making it 15-13 to USA. Oh and one more thing, Ian Poulter is a legend!

The two most likely to get those 2 points needed would be Garcia and Karlsson. Whoever wins should be very exciting today.
The Reverend Posted 21 September 2008 Author Posted 21 September 2008 Anthony Kim v Sergio Garcia= Garcia Hunter Mahan v Paul Casey = Casey Justin Leonard v Robert Karlsson= Karlsson Phil Mickelson v Justin Rose= Mickelson Kenny Perry v Henrik Stenson= Stenson Boo Weekley v Oliver Wilson= A/S JB Holmes v Soren Hansen= A/S Jim Furyk v Miguel Angel Jimenez= Furyk Stewart Cink v Graeme McDowell= Cink Steve Stricker v Ian Poulter= Poulter Ben Curtis v Lee Westwood= Westwood Chad Campbell v Padraig Harrington= Harrington So, 8-4 in the singles is my prediction. Meaning it will finish 13-15 to Europe. It's a bold prediction, but i think the Cup means more to Europe than it does the Yanks, and thats why we'll shine through.

Sadly I don't think the predictions can be made as simply as that. What goes on in the later matches will highly depend on the matches up front. If the first few swing in europe's favour, then the crowd will quiten and the american's may feel the pressure. I reckon Rose could upset Mickleson - make himself a hero? On the other hand I can see Booo winning - just because he's an american ass and they seem to win when it matters! Hopefully Garcia and Casey can get off to a good start - BUT they haven't looked that impressive. The other thing i worry about is the mood in the european camp - reading Westwood's story this morning about 'not being injured' made me wonder.
Tommeh Posted 21 September 2008 Posted 21 September 2008 just started, gonna be long and tense one me thinks, quietly confident we can turn it round.
Fox You Forest Posted 21 September 2008 Posted 21 September 2008 The commentary has gone pear shaped. Can barely hear the commentators all the noise is coming from the first tee microphone by the sounds of it. and..... It's back.
